  1. As an interested flake of information for people using comparrison sites..it's not uncommon for these to be actually owned by an insurance company themselves eg Admiral Group own Confused.com Admiral Group operates under a number of brands in the United Kingdom: Admiral Insurance 'Bell' from Admiral (exclusively telematics policies, previously Bell Insurance) Confused.com Diamond Insurance Elephant Gladiator (for commercial vehicles)
  2. Aviva will be behind multiple other companies (lot's of re branding on the market) so it's not as simple as saying 'Aviva dont put prices up' it's just the route you've gone to through them...presumably directly? My Porsche Insurance is Aviva via Marsh and similarly its not risen too much over the last 10 years, however the wife's previous 'Quote Me Happy' (which was also a direct Aviva policy) went up year 1 to year 2 steeply IIRC
  3. search and the answer is there for you;) https://www.rally24.com/make/Renault-rally-cars-for-sale/
  4. he has a point...what car is not suitable for commuting?
  5. Black is terrible for showing up chips....when I got rid of my Basalt 987 the bonnet looked like the opening credits to Star Wars! ....so I went googling for the screen grab and after 20 mins stumbled across this! I'm sure @John K will find it amusing..
  6. self abuse? thought you were better than that Steve...
  7. @rowbos left the door open there with the nice clear crisp photo we could market these along with the 'posh pr*cks' .... I think I could have my first sale with @rowbos wife
  8. I sorted the custard for you...and olives...really...they're tooth picks....seem you need them too (th)
  9. used for covert car paint correction (by said family)?
  10. mmm...do you have 750 little pr*cks or is that a library picture....I'm calling custard on this!
  11. I ordered one of those tools and it came yesterday...looks well made but I've not used it (and not likely to until the weather is warmer and dryer)
  12. I did better than that in 2013 I moved from a £10000 987 2.7 with 245 bhp to a 981S worth near £60000 and 315 bhp and the premium went down £100 odd quid (even after the mid term admin fee) - so they refunded me when I switched car less than 2 months after renewal
  13. 50/50 move on, if he doesnt like it then remind them of the frightening situation given by them and their actions against a lone woman and suggest Police are involved if he isnt happy...I would not report to insurance company unless intend to claim
  14. so £700 covers the cost of 2 tyres and 2 refurbs then....I wouldnt bother
  15. no, not that posh here Patt...
  16. When I swapped the 56 plate 987 2.7 (value £10k) for the 981 S (faster, newer and 6 times the price!) it generated a refund in premium to me! IIRC the 987 used to be circa £550 to £740 pa whereas the 981 is around £360 pa
  17. yeah seems nice and low to me...secret to insurance is to find decent cover at a decent price, but that doesn't bounce up exorbitantly every year...
  18. interestingly I had my March/Aviva renewal during the week and it still shows as March/Aviva/Premier Solutions...looking at the letter I got back in May 2017 it simply stated that they were ceasing to trade as Porsche Insurance and instead would be Marsh, plain and simple (no mention of Carbon like you two) Also my renewal is £369 (last year £360) and the non fault accident last year (tow bar on a 981 thread) seems to have zero effect
