981 multifunction steering wheel replaced

The springs go behind the cage type thing that you have to remove when fitting the new wiring in, they fit between that and the actual wheel frame. You don't have to touch them to remove the airbag.

Thanks all for help and advice, that's what makes this forum so good as there is always someone I ask for help.  

Steering wheel finally fitted after lots of fussying around, it's very fiddly for my quite big hands so wasnt enjoying it one bit. Had a play around with broken CCTV system this morning and put my back out carrying a ladder not wearing a coat but a t shirt I  the cold at 8am this morning  that will teach me so hot water bottle now and some woods rum on the go.  Steering wheel all working over the moon with the look.
