Noted lots of these type of threads, but none for the 718.

Ordered new headlights for mine today to be replaced partly under goodwill following the crazing. Just in time for the warranty to expire.

I’ve the interior light package + in my 718, however I’m disappointed to find out that this doesn’t include puddle lights. Only found out when we went out in the dark a few weeks back.

I’ve spoken to my OPC parts chaps and apparently add on OEM puddle lights and wire loom don’t appear to be available for the S model.

Anyone retrofitted OEM puddle lights? Part numbers for lights and loom would be very useful.

Anyone use the central smokers pack point to trickle charge car when parked up? I’ve a Optimate battery charger / conditioner and purchased the lighter plug in connector to use over the battery clips under frunk. Plugged in last night and wouldn’t charge ( had car on and off, not started) to wake up the point. Didn’t try the footwell point.

Any thoughts b4 I revert to battery and negative point? I presume others keep the battery conditioned this way?

If do this I need to swap this for the battery lead connector so I can wire and pop the plug through the cover to make it an easier connection.

I have found what looks like my perfect spec used Cayman at a Porsche dealer apart from the fact it has 20" wheels and no PASM. My current 981 when I got it had 20" wheels (no PASM) and it was very crashy and harsh on uneven surfaces. I solved this by fitting 19's and refreshing the shocks etc.

When I test drove the 718 with 20's and no PASM it felt better than my 981 on 19's which was reassuring, but how much smoother is a 718 on 20's with PASM compared to one without?

	Hi all

Not sure if anyone else has seen the post on a FB 718 GTS forum regarding the exhaust valve closing below a certain rev range even when the console button is set to open. Thread states that when you open it and pull away the ECU closes the flap again until engine revs above a certain value.

Does anyone know if this affects UK cars. ??

A few years ago I slightly killed my 987.1S so I've been lying low. Considering swapping the MX5 ND 2.0 back into a new 718 GTS 4.0 as a, er, savings plan...

I realise this is a how long is a piece of string question but what sort of delta are dealers currently taking on traded in cars, particularly 718 GTS 4.0's? Any rough idea would be good so I can get a vague grip of how much the total experience is likely to cost me.

The other issue is that I'd be very likely to use the car daily and I notice that all of the ones up for sale are clearly weekend princesses with low mileage, so I strongly suspect I'm setting myself up for a whole world of pain and might well be better off keeping the 990kg MX5, just that I'm seeing 2020 cars at not far off original retail (not including options).

Also, anyone got any experience of putting things like this into an auction and is that still even possible?

I am currently in the deliberation of PDK vs manual. The usual questions go through my head ranging from long term reliability/costs to which will be a better long term investment/driving experience.
