I also have a Nextbase 322GW and telephoto rearview camera. I had so much trouble with it continually freezing and corrupting the SD card that I replaced it with the Viofos.

Since then, I found that the integral mini HDMI connection between the front/rear cameras was faulty. I took the rear cam to pieces and resoldered the connector pins, updated the main camera firmware, and now it seems to work OK. 🙄

my eldest had an issue with a faulty Viofo hardwired power feed kit, replaced by them and since ok

Actually I quite like the look of the centre grill, I've always thought the shiny black plastic fake intake in the middle made it look a bit odd so the grill gives it meaning at least!

I managed to find a complete set of used grills on eBay for less than half the price of new ones inc the centre so I have gone for those 🙂 Thanks for all the feedback and the pictures helped me decide.

I agree on the centre grill....

How does the centre grill attach? Do you need to screw through the plastic?

Yes two self tappers, you can see the position on the grill sat on my sideboard

Not evident when on the car though

Might give my OPC a call.  Never did fix the drivers side one which seized and then the actuator snapped.  If I can do get away with what Volkswizard guy Andrew did on his, and just replace one side for £1100 of whatever, it'll stop me thinking about Carnewal and/or TopGear (watching these threads and so aware that basically everyone has PSE's seizing)

    I'll just leave this here...

You'd hope. Not sure how much Stuart's experience tallies with that.

Anyway, maybe this lot is a new batch with better design/materials/build tolerances. We know Porsche revise several parts over their life, it would be nice to see something here. "Make sure the valve part number ends in 003, the 002 were notorious for seizing" :)

mine wasn't lubricated, neither of them

no 2 PSE sounded different to PSE no 1 so I'm sure there are changes to the design even if slight...unfortunately I don't think this has any impact on longevity though!

Lets hope the Topgear lasts longer than the 20 to 30k miles either Porsche PSE did
