      Never done it myself, I don't think the slats remove. Start a new thread in Technical, title something like "Mesh on a facelift front" with the question "How did you do yours?" and you'll get a few options.  good luck!

    Why are non-Porsche convertible drivers driving around with their roofs up???

      Roof down if in car for less than an hour, roof up if all day in hot sun. In Lisbon it's certainly not just "non-Porsche", I rarely see a soft-top Porsche with the roof down.
