    Dieppe trip

@Araf could this be moved from How to to say lounge?
  2. I struggle to believe the owners of these bikes and scooters do not carry third party liability insurance. Badly discarded bikes after rental are a trip hazard. I bet a no win no fee lawyer would have a field day.
  3. https://amp.theguardian.com/money/2019/jun/03/lime-e-bike-company-wont-pay-for-900-damage-to-my-car From 2019. They have history.
  4. It's a pity your wife, sorry friend, didn't follow the dog home. It's owner would be liable for the damage to the car (unless the accident was your friend's fault).
  5. Haha. OP shouldn't go out a night! Actually, as it hit by and damaged a Macan my money is on the dog running off and dying of internal injuries around the corner.
  6. Hitting a dog in a car, even if it runs off, is an accident which legally has to be reported to the police. Failing to report within 24hours is an offence - potentially a £5,000 fine! Hopefully noone else reported it nor was it caught on CCTV or dashcam. If you do report it to the police then it follows you must inform your insurance company. So, was anyone looking or likely to report it? I had to look into this a while back when a deer jumped into the side of the car. Hitting a deer is not an accident.
  7. @Araf this is the SORN and insurance thread.
  8. You don't have to even make a claim. When you take out a policy the insurance company will ask whether you've have any accidents in the last x years (regardless of whether it was reported or claimed). If you respond 'no' when it should be 'yes' then you've probably invalidated the policy you've taken out and have commited a fraud.
  9. Have 3 cars and house insured through A-Plan. Consistently good quotes often bettering the premium of the year before.
  10. Thanks for the advice it was the Bosch spark plug loose that was making the sound, more the fact the plug was defective than loose top part wiggling around only been in for a couple of months. Your diagnosis was bang on. Its a good sound clip to help people with same problem :-)

  11. They have a limited number of insurance companies they deal with. A-Plan provided a competitive quote but when I mentioned spacers the company would not insure. The quote with spacers (from another insurance company they deal with) was not competitive by some margin. Another of our sponsors helped me out.
  12. They discount for BoXa. net members and are generally very helpful. This year though they could not assist me as I had spacers (a modification!).
  13. Did you check the links listed by NebO above? Still working for me.
  14. Well done. Why not post the process and details on the "How to" forum for future reference. Your post and offer will get lost here.
