Sometimes cars that seem cheap are just bargains. Some people are too quick to shout "its too cheap for a limited edition, its a scam"

First post would indicate that maybe he received them some time ago and has not realised maybe. Still not great service as they sold you the car!
-
How do you know its OEM though? The previous owner might have changed it for a cheap pattern one
-
Mine will be reused, did the same on my 986S years ago

Taken the drivers door panel off to adjust the window positioning slightly as was getting a little wind noise at certain speeds since the new regulator was fitted.
It needed going forwards a smidge

I just paid £295 from Mid Sussex Porsche for one for my 987.2 so about right
-
The rivet is there to stop the window dropping too low, its as the regulator fits the 996 as well and does not use the rivet in them.
Nothing to do with the height when closed

It’s not a tricky job, I am not great with spanner’s and I have done it 4 times now.
watch a few “how to” videos and make sure you mark the positioning of the window in the fitment with tape or a marker before removal

That’s the regulator going noise.
i learned the hard way that OEM replacement is the only way to go

So went and had a look this morning, plenty on the fronts but the rears are low so guess I will be ordering those.
No doubt they still need the stupidly expensive anti squeal bits

I always put genuine pads on mine. On the last car I only replaced them just before I sold it - after 40k miles so IMHO cheap pads are a false economy.
In my experience, the pads only have to be 2/3rds worn to trigger the sensor. I'll have to find the pad comparison picture. It's in my work computer so that won't be until Monday.
I will have a look in daylight tomorrow... at least with those wheels its easy to see through them!
When I stopped for petrol and restarted the light was not on so maybe just a false alarm...will see in the morrow. Hopefully worst case its a set of pads and 1 sensor!

Had the low brake pad warning come up on the dash today.
Hard to tell from looking, but thinking its the fronts. Anyone had any experience of decent replacements?
Saw this on Design 911 for this kit which includes new sensors and pins etc

You're not parting with it anytime soon are you?
Jury is still out at the moment. Depends on a lot of things like work and stuff. It is a lot of money tied up in something that gets used for about 3,000 miles a year

switched the PASM on and gave it some beans on the twisties on the way home.... combined with the Yokohama's it really does go round corners soooooooooooooo well!

@r1flyguy has one I believe

You mean for the window seal? Funnily enough I did look at the cost of replacing it but the new part is over £900! How do they justify that!
Any links to the flocking kit mentioned?

Picked it up last night after the wheels were refurbished. I was glad to give back the 1.0 litre Polo that did 0-60 in 11 seconds!
Washed it today and gave the tyres a bit of slick conditioning as they were looking a bit dull
