Previous owner of mine had bought a spare carpet for the bulkhead behind the seats. He cut it in half so the drivers seat went back another inch or so
-
Checked the drain holes and noticed one of the ball joints on the hood mechanism had broke. They were also the white plastic type, I did this job years ago on another Boxster and remember getting the white plastic ones off Ebay.
Seems to be a lot more variety now though, some look 3D printed, or best to get Genuine ones?
-
MOT'd it, passed with no advisories, £450 on two new rear tyres earlier in the week though.

Google works for this, search:
BoXa net caliper repainting

changed the brake switch which fixed my stuck on lights, posted a few pics here:
-
Removed the passenger seat to check that module, good news is that it is completely dry. Can't figure out how to get that plastic cover off though!
-
Yes, lights went out as soon as it was removed. All dry under the carpet but will double check though so thanks for that!
-
Removed the brake switch because my brake lights were sticking on and had a code 4340. Switch I took off looks new but not a genuine part.

The dual mass flywheel is definitely there for that purpose, just replaced one on a 4 cyl diesel engine and the vibration was very noticeable. 6 cylinders are supposed to be more balanced though. LuK/Sachs DMF’s are pricey though!

For door seals, this is what I did:

The 2.9 is a good car, feels as fast as the 3.2/3.4 987.1’, sound is a bit lacking though but I think the gen 2’s have a better quality interior (not sure why as it is pretty much the same looks wise) anyway just my tuppence
-
Nice light clutch on the 2.9 we had, a while back when it was fairly new
-
Not really high mileage but just gone over 100k with my 05
-
I’ve used that Por 15 in the past, really good stuff but wear gloves
-
I’ve still got beaks old car who started this thread, currently coming up to 100k

The garage that took the calipers off just cut the lines and I sent them to BCS like that and they removed them, think I had an additional bill for a couple of helicoils

Out of interest. My keys are Silver.
Was that an option on the 987 or something? All the keys I've seen online are all black. They changed to black for the gen 2

I use 303 on plastic stuff, wheel arch liners etc, it is excellent, never used it on leather though

Few different cars in the household, any frameless window drop are a pain when it freezes.
Did a door membrane fix here, with pics:

Also on the Fuchs supersyn 5w40

Also have heated seats and changed the battery last month, previous one would not hold a charge even after being on the ctek, no issues apart from the psm and airbag which went after a drive
-
Thanks for that detailed reply, I agree and my plan is to do the whole lot and definitely not just springs.
-
Not for me, just want to record the service rather than mislead, agree on them getting more attention though.
I put some pics of the work I did here which included cleaning behind the arch liners.

Also, if I wanted to change dampers at the same time (non PASM) would they go with B4’s?

Couple of pics here:
I put the original full carpet back as I didn’t need the extra leg room (I’m 6’ 1”)
noise wise, it wasn’t that different with half of it missing although the previous owner had stuck some sound deadening mat stuff on the metal engine cover
