  1. hi mate, mine's 2002. I ran a switched live from the fuse board in the end, not as difficult as it sounds. I put a fuse add-on into A6 which is for the missing heated seats (so technically didn't need the add-on) and ran a wire from there to the centre console and then split it to drop down to underneath each seat. Then used the ground that was already there. It doesn't take too long to get the centre console out and was easy to fish the wires under the carpet. I'll update my running report when I get a chance, but the heated seats now go off when the ignition is switched off. I'm pretty happy with it, but I don't get much/any clearance behind the new switch and when I sit on the seat it pushes the switch out slightly. I think it's because they are sports seats, but when I get a chance I will remove the spade connectors and solder the wires to the back of the switch. I think it can be done without removing the seat.
  2. Just had a go at this, instructions say take the live from the red wire already in the seat connector, but this is permanent live? Has anyone already done this? Do I need to take switched live from the fuse box and if so, how do I do that? I don’t want to have to remember to turn the seat off each time I’ve finished driving
  3. Just to let you know, I removed my water pump today after another quick refresh of your vid this morning lol. Lots of great help thank you. I think the tip to release the hose was the most helpful, I honestly thought I wouldn’t be able to get it off until I used the grips to release it. I’ll update my running report, but wanted to say thanks. I have a new pump being delivered and need to fit it, but have a new found confidence 👍🏻
  4. Welcome, I was already a subscriber! My water pump let go today, was just watching your vid. You’ve persuaded me to have a go myself!
