  1. One can always hope £215 is still a good price though ...
  2. Although it states 'Tax Free' for Europe - it also says 'NON-US buyers note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility' - import duty would add a few bob ... VAT on £240 would be an extra £48 plus the notification penalty if you didn't pay it up front. May be best to go for the UK version and then you can also return if you're not happy.
  3. Has anyone bought the Taiwanese version and if so are they as good a quality as the UK version? @Bike LoonWhere did you see the Taiwanese LEDs listed?
  4. I bought 10 x diodes at the time on ebay for about 10p and have 8 left. PM me your postal address and I'll put 3 in the post for you - it's good to have a few spares in case you mess up the bends on the first one. It took me a couple of goes.
  5. Let me know how they work out and shout if you have problems with mod. It's pretty straight forward but you never know.
  6. I know - 5.5W sounds low but the site definitely states "Power Consumption: 5.46W" The passenger bulb (the whiter of the 2) is the one I have replaced. Here are some more pictures showing both replaced and what they look like with the headlights on as well (when in fog light mode).
  7. http://www.auto-lighting.co.uk/product-eng-1109-Car-LED-Light-Bulb-27x-SMD-5050-H8-CanBus-WHITE.html I'd go with the ones you have listed above - they are 15W compared to my 5.5W. I might just get a set myself The fogs are also H8 bulbs btw
  8. LED bulbs are a must if you have xenon headlights.
  9. Yes - they are really cheap One tip - the original instructions said don't cut the cable tie, just move the light switch outer casing out the way. Well ... when I tried that the casing broke off where the cable tie fastened it to the wires. My advice is to get yourself a few very small cable ties and to cut the tie off before you remove the switch casing and then refasten it afterwards. I am not quite sure how the mod works however I assume that the light switch operates a relay (or relays) for the main lights and the fogs, so the current through the switch (and the diode after the mod) is small. Just to be on the safe side though I replaced the fog bulbs with LEDs before I did the mod in case this wasn't the case as the diode will only handle 1 amp and a 55w 12v bulbs draws almost 5 Amps (each). By comparison the LED bulbs are only a few watts and I bought 2 for less than £15.
  10. I just fitted a set of these, and they flicker, quite a rhythmic flicker, and ever so slight, but it's visible to me, so I took them back out. No errors shown, tried with one LED and both fitted in case of an unbalance or the like. But I've not found a set of HID's ( even those that work in other Boxsters ) that don't flicker in my car either. Perhaps it's my eyes that flicker If anyone wants to try them, cross my palm with £10 and I'll stick them in the post. drago.d - any flicker on yours? These are much cheaper that others posted on ebay ...
  11. Daz - please post or PM me a wiring diagram - photo of a drawing is fine. I'd like to set mine up the same.
