Dealer purchased looked a good example number 007 with chrono, pasm, pse and full leather.

Absolute bargain, 007, one of the first batch with a massive spec. Normally this would be c£25k from a dealer.

    On autotrader sold by Sterling's

  2. #249 added to the register

The only thing I'm unsure of re its spec as its not included in the desciption nor can I see the sensors on the only rear shot is rear park assist. I have therefore assumed that it does not have it.

I think its a good price from a respected porsche indy with new discs, pads and tyres all round + what looks like a good detail including headlights and the spyder alloys, paint etc.......

Edit: I can't seem to get Imgur links to work now for some reason so gave up lol

  3. Looks to be a reasonable/good price for a private sale depending on full spec which i think maybe loaded ie pdk with sport chrono, PSE and PASM,  full leather ?, sports seats and I think Bose. not a very good ad but idea maybe to stimulate enquiries, if so would be better advertising it with details of the loaded spec.

  4. Chasing performance on a n/a boxster is just not good vfm / a waste of time. You would be far better spending your money on suspension / driving lessons / petrol

the 4 pot FI engines are fine to those who never appreciated the 6 cylinder NA engines. However all arguments over their relative merits stopped when porsche backtracked and fitted the n/a 6 cylinder engines to the top of the range models

I had a 2.5 fully loaded 718 for 3 days as a loaner and took it back early on day 2, i had zero interest in it as a porsche, which is ironic given i love my taycan

  5. Be careful not to damage the drainage pipes, met someone yesturday who ended up spending £1000 to remove the interior chasing a leak and it turned out to be a split in the drain pipe presumably caused by a previous owner “cleaning” it !

  6. I've also been invited to Silverstone by Porsche at the end of the month, they must be quiet lol. They asked what I wanted to drive and I said anything but an SUV so let's see. Last time I did Silverstone was in a KTM crossbow and I puked up at the side of the track so let's see if I can hold my lunch down this time !

  7. The boxster is still in winter storage but managed to make my monthly porsche meet ....... good turn out for winter with some of the guys taking the opportunity to give other cars a run out.....I was in the appliance....

We meet the first Saturday of every month in wilmslow. Anyone with a porsche story is welcome and there are usually plenty of boxsters in summer. The march meet is at the RS track day at Oulton Park though on the 1st.

Yes it came up for sale a week or so ago. I must have forgotten to post it on here.

Its one of the x4 early uk cars that had very high specs, for sale at one of the most respected Indy’s so i expect it to be spot on quality wise or they not have touched it.

  9. I had mine done last year as preventative as i need new rads fitting anyway.

    genuine porsche parts.

Its one of those jobs where a specialist should be cheaper as they should know how to do it without dropping the sub frame completely which makes it a lot easier / quicker to do.

nb its more tricky on a 987.2 compared to a .1 only due to the fact its harder to replace the coolant in a .2 ie more time consuming process

i paid £1300 and something (from memory) with the new rads fitted as well

  10. Blocked DPF is not uncommon on lots of marques, including commercial vehicles. Its usually caused by use ‘not conducive’ with regeneration criteria lol, failed regens can also cause oil dilution as unburnt excess fuel used for the regen process seeps back through pistons …….plus they never make a car sound better

Blocked DPF can normally be unblocked by forcing DPF cleaning fluid through the sensor pressure tube ie you can clean them without the need to remove, I’ve done it on SWMBO Evoque for the cost of a hand pressure pump and fluid (ie about £40, RR wanted c£3k for a new DPF). I’m not sure if thats possible on a boxster though ?

  11. I’ve not driven the boxster much in the hot weather as the aircon has failed, ironically its been too hot to enjoy the car without it. It was booked into a service at Unit 11 and could be investigated further. The usual suspects, new condensers needed and whilst johnny is at it I’m getting the cross over pipes done (a job he hates lol)…..booked in for end of July.
