  1. I bought new Brembo front discs, pads and sensors for my 981s  from Autodoc a couple of weeks ago. I thought I'd put them on when I changed to winter wheels which I did today. I had a good look and I really don't need to change them for another year or so as I do very few miles. If anybody wants them and are relatively near Reading for collection or a meet up they would be slightly discounted at £275. I'm not fussed about whether I keep them or not as I will use them eventually and I'll probably do all 4 wheels at the same time so will have to order again anyway.

If they fit the 718 they will fit the 981, some of the 20" wheel options are 9.5" anyway.

Would guess the sensors should be but not a deal-breaker for winters.

Thanks daz, my 19" wheels have a 9.5" rim but the offset is RO45.

  3. I'm looking at a set of 18" 718 wheels with winter tyres to fit to my 2016 981. The fronts are the same size but the 718 rear is a different rim: 9.5J RO49 as opposed to 9J RO47 recommended for the 981. Tyres are the same sizes. Looking at charts it seems the inner rim is likely to be about 4mm closer to the suspension.

Anybody know if this is likely to be a problem?

Also would the tyre pressure sensors be compatible?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Cheers.

Hope you are using the dampner on the bike.

I certainly am, very necessary! But on the little scooter I keep in my motorhome I've got a mount that clamps to the mirror stem as there's nowhere else sensible to put it and I haven't bothered with a dampener on that.

  5. I checked mine yesterday and it’s £5500 more than I paid 6 months ago. It’s academic though as I’m not in the least bit interested in selling.
