  1. i think i've found a niche in the market - I'm going to setup an agency providing "Middle aged men who drive porsches escort service" - for the lady who loves to be woo'd with talk of flat 6's, N rated tyres and IMS conspiracy theories This time next year i'm going to be a millionaire........
  2. I’ve not looked at recent performance yet, although did see one that seems to be charging me weekly to move money around. The total pot wouldn’t let me buy a place, but maybe enough for a BTL mortgage deposit. i think consolidation is the answer, I have a couple of old ones at less than 4K total that would basically let me buy a coffee each month when I retire - seems pointless keeping them going, I’m thinking if the investment pot is bigger, then the returns should follow (potentially)
  3. Whilst SWMBO was watching Strictly Come Sequins last night I dug out the paperwork and found I have 7 pensions running at different values, nothing exciting or huge amounts of money. thoughts of pulling it all out and buying a buy to let was met with a firm ‘NO’ by the sequin watcher 🤬
  4. I really need to sort out my pensions. I’ve had a few jobs over the years which means I’ve got a few different old work pensions, with varying levels of value. i think it’s going to be easier and more valuable to consolidate the lot into 1 - perhaps leaving my current work pension going on it’s own. I’ve seen the ads for PensionBee and looking at the website it seems straightforward and potentially easier than going via a financial advisor anyone had any experience of using them? Good or bad?
  5. That is an excellent result - have often seen cars running around with dented bumpers and wondered if this method would work. like the localised cleaning though 😂
  6. Yes - you have to call them, then they pretty much repeat everything you have said to confirm the details are correct before they issue the insurance certificates - very 2019!
  7. Decent level of cover and a good premium - £325 for my 2010 3.4 S with an accident on each driver Worth a try - but one word of warning - once you sort the quote out online, you need to call them to validate - took me 45mins today as they are really busy. Not really good enough these days, but not the call handlers fault. I'm promised that they are a different team to those dealing with claims.... lets hope i never have to find out
  8. just checked on mine and don't appear to have those (987.2) - but there is some elastic straps either side which appear to tension in the inner head lining - could that be yours too?
  9. Yep, my wife did this to mine, really simple fix with replacement plastic ends from eBay - @chanlon1 I posted my fix and pics here; http://www.BoXa.net/forum/topic/78216-987-roof-broken-where-to-buy-parts/
  10. Not sure if this will be of any help, but replaced the drivers side rear mud flap today on my 987.2 This was my problem, the flap was cracked and filling up with dirt and road debris There are 5 Torx screws holding it in position, and ideally it would be a lot easier to do this with the rear wheel removed, but it can be done withthe right tools. Two fixings in the inner wheel well; Two further fixings underneath, one to the front and one located in the well and a final one located further under the car Of course I didn’t have the right tools, the screwdriver handles I had were too long, therefore a Torx bit and mole grips were required to be able to undo them Old one removed, you can see the dirt that builds up behind the part; i purchased rhe new mud flap from Design9 off of eBay, approx £35 With a close up of the part number if needed; once removed, I cleared out all the dirt and debris from around the inner arch. Before fitting the new one, remember to swap the clips from the old one otherwise the fixings have nothing to bite into. The hardest part of refitting is to get the clip at the top to fit behind the wheel arch lip. Took a bit of jiggling, but once that’s in place, everything else seems to slide into place easily. All fitted and fixed; whole job took about 30mins start to finish, probably would have been quicker if I had the right tools or removed the wheel first....
  11. #pokeypokepoke - if i suggested Mrs Matt drive a C1 or similar she would park it firmly where the sun don't shine. Even my 17 year old son said no to a C1 - you really need to give her a car befitting of her superhero status @rowbos
  12. Are you sure?, perhaps we need @rowbos wife to confirmif a C1 lives up to her standards.....

  14. was the discount greater than the cost of the day though?
