I probably had one of the first 718's on the forum. At the Scottish scramble meet we pulled into the car park as another member was getting out of their car.
Him. "Hi, are you in sports mode?"
Me. "No, comfort"
Him. "Why the feck does anyone complain about the sound of the 718 then?"

Explain?
The guy is lying too and deceiving his wife, being totally underhand.
If he can do that to his own wife, he will have no problem at all doing it to a stranger.

To me that would be a huge red flag.

But its fast, so they don't care. None of the current crop have ever raced a gearbox with an H pattern shift, let alone that required heel toeing...
They've not had to start their own car with a cranking handle either. 😉

A fully sync'd heel toe change is soooo satisfying particularly with a sweet rifle bolt manual shift, but then again so are the rapid fire changes of a PDK in Sport mode, albeit they take rather less skill....
Just shows how unskilful those F1 drivers are.

Maybe, but #savethemanual
Reread what I quoted from Jonners, he meant to type "can’t", but type can

No, the computer does those, not YOU!
I think you missed the irony.........

You can beat nailing a perfect heal and toe shift!
Yes, with PDK.

Cheers fella, I really appreciate that (BAN HIM!!!) ☺️
Anyone who thinks the Boxster looks better than the Cayman is kidding themselves on. Until the roof is down of course.

@Davey P only problem is, you are driving the entry level Porsche as the Boxster costs more. 😉

Somewhere in England, a broken Cayman owner is sitting in a dark room, crying into his hands and muttering to himself, "Why did I ever put that post up?"

Did you not realise the VED cost before purchasing the car?

Ironically a number of photos I've seen of these say "Made in the United Kingdom".
Pretty much explains it then.......

They always say it's on backorder, basically it gives you some breathing space to work out how to feed a family for 79p a day for the next year or so in order to pay for it.

I'd imagine you might need a bigger piston to go with a rebore....
Why do you think the rebore is required?

Congrats on anniversary.

Longer intervals between servicing?
Piston size to cylinder wall no longer a tight fit.

Thinking about it, cars and ladies from 40 years ago have followed a similar path.
Both are bigger and heavier now.
Both cost a lot more to run and maintain.
Both now have a lot more bling.
Writing either off will lose you a lot more money now.
I suppose the only difference really is that the cars have gotten quieter.......
