  1. I did ensure this year £144, previous years have been with locktons , their renewal this year was £250 , admittedly it had breakdown cover and track cover , which I don't need , so went with compare the market via topcashback ,got £25 , same cover and excess and agreed value with esure , hopefully I never need them
  2. +1 for locktons , I have used them the last 3 years on my boxster
  3. Not knocking A plan they used to do brother in law van and were very competitive , I tried when I first got boxster and they couldn't get me a competitive quote , you win some you lose some ,
  4. Locktons do mine , guaranteed value , track cover , genuine parts if in bump , Europe cover and breakdown cover , with limited mileage of 5k and salvage buy back if required , last year they came in at £250 fully comp , Chubb was the insurance company used last year .pcgb discount too , although this year on comparison site I can get it for £120 but without most of the stuff above
  5. I had this fail just recently as the front spring snapped on the same trip , had to have it recovered , I took mine to revolution Porsche Danny called me after investigation and told me my ignition switch was toast , I had the same symptoms as no resitence when turning key , I had to stall mine for it to shut off, , BUT on the facelift cars the switch is more expensive , luckily he managed to source a used GC part for me for £95 which saved me a fair bit , Well done though on doing it yourself , there's something quite satisfying doing a repair on your own , if it had been just the £20 electric bit on the ignition switch I'd have had a go myself
