Just had a call from Dave at DND. The problem was the corroded circuit board. He has repaired it and is posting it back. I hope that's it all working now. Thanks for everyone's input. 😊
Could I ask out of interest how much it's cost as mine is doing exactly the same .

Could be brake pedal switch... had similar prob a few years ago. BPS fixed it ....
It comes as up abs fault when the brake switch is faulty , I swapped mine out and it's been fine ,took 10 mins as it's a bit awkward to get to if you can get someone behind car to check brake lights too as they sometimes flicker when the bps is faulty

You also get 10% off at OPC if you have classic Porsche membership , incidentally I got a good deal for my 986 hardtop from a forum member on here , I found the fitting kit fiddly to fit .be careful not to lose the bolt that goes into the side trim

I use a lithium jump starter for mine ,but you have to leave it connected for a while before the frunk opens , alternatively have you tried a battery charger with cigarette lighter function ?

I bought mine from here he deals in boxsters as well as a main agent for fiat , I bought my 2004 3.2 s and my brother in law bought his too ,mine needed a few bits which were sorted on warranty , the Biggie being a replacement gearbox , can't fault their customer service , they did some other stuff whilst it was in for gearbox , checked clutch and ims etc new gearbox oil correct spec in the end the bill should have been around £4k , I know it's over your budget but you could well end up spending a couple of grand anyway , if you can buy one from here .good luck with your search

Autoaid covers classics but you have to pay an additional premium of £15 , I've used them on a couple of occasions with no problems ,as stated it covers you and spouse in any car

Hi, I’ve been looking for a few years now to no avail, I'm looking to see if I can find my first Boxster I had, I traded it in 2011 and regretted it ever since.
The original reg is RK04 NDU it’s a Boxster S finished in atlas grey and atlas grey carrera 5 spoke alloys.
id love to see if it’s still on the road and if there’s an opportunity to buy it again.
I've obviously checked through decks mot history and vehicle checks but must have a private plate on it.
TIA, Pablo
Hit the post with this Pablo mines RK04NUV seal grey s , good luck with the search , have you done mot checker on it to see if it's still on the rd?

S on vin number for Stuttgart cars mine, has it

I use Fuchs supersyn 5w40 in mine it's A40 Porsche rated , it's changed yearly at mot , normally around 1500 miles or so , incidentally I use miller's 5w50 in the 944s2
-
£9- £10k should see you get a really nice low mileage example from a respected dealer with a warranty , that's way over budget for that car especially this time of year , you'd be better off buying from here

I had the same issues , It was the brake pedal switch easy fix was about £20 , you can see if the brake lights flicker when applied that's normally a sign too , I changed the switch myself a bit fiddly but easy enough

Yeah, I'm interested on any opinions on this too.
Other than the ebay drone box, everything else seems extortionately priced (Can't logically understand why though!)
I'm looking to replace the std one purely for a more sporty sound (It's not a daily).
Cheers
Ben

That's decent of you ,👍

I think the gundo hack terminology is the USA version of the crios mod , drilled holes in the exhaust , the bypass mod is what revolution Porsche do , I've had the bypass done and am very pleased with the result

Tbh I prefer the first one too , second one looks too bland , especially the interior, each to their own , I also like the RS60,

I'd be tempted to go for chukkieggs car , he's spent quite a bit on it already , it's a sound car that needs a bit of fettling , you could get quite deep quite quickly on the car your looking at .
Just my 2 cents , good luck either way 👍

I took a call from A-plan this week to discuss my renewal, after initial checks the policy could renew for the same price as last year ..£270 , Did a quick comparethemarket and I can get the same level of cover for £167 with esure
I did ensure this year £144, previous years have been with locktons , their renewal this year was £250 , admittedly it had breakdown cover and track cover , which I don't need , so went with compare the market via topcashback ,got £25 , same cover and excess and agreed value with esure , hopefully I never need them
