  1. Do e-scooters use the same laws as e-bikes ? as lime-uk.co.uk says "Enforcing driving licence requirements using our GDPR compliant two factor licence authentication technology." and Tfl says to hire a e-scooter you must be over 18 and have a driving license https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/electric-scooter-rental-trial#on-this-page-1 On a slightly different note, reading an article about the storms last week , if a tree falls from someone's garden and damages your car, you have to claim off your own car insurance and not the householders buildings insurance
  2. Are both policies in your name and with you as the main driver ? then having your wife "marked " as having an accident may not effect the policies too much in the future, also the insurance will not tell you how future premiums will be affected as they cannot look into the future as premiums are based on risk , things like moving jobs, if crime rates in your area increase it may affect the premium
  3. But if the backside drops out then your replacement will be cheaper , the whole concept of insurance is you should be able to buy a replacement car in same condition, with same miles and same age as the car written off with the payout
  4. I took a call from A-plan this week to discuss my renewal, after initial checks the policy could renew for the same price as last year ..£270 , Did a quick comparethemarket and I can get the same level of cover for £167 with esure
  5. I've just checked my 3 policies I have and not one mentions you have to have road tax, in either the policy documents or schedule, Interestingly though it does say you have to inform them if you change occupation... Now there's a get out if I see one
