Alright gents, thought I'd let you know my outcomes with a 987 airbox, 987 MAF, 996 TB and 996 plenum. I have a facelift 2.7 which needed a new engine, so the new to me engine went in with the new to me intake upgrades. A few weeks ago I took it to ChipWizards to get it mapped as Wayne really knows his stuff. So the outcome was 235bhp and 203lbft (I think...will check) torque. Wayne said the intake changes make more of a difference on 3.2 engines and those with exhaust upgrades (I have standard manifolds and exhaust). The difference in drivability however is where its most noticeable, pulls harder low down and revs much faster. The 987 airbox also had the helmholtz resonator removed to make it fit so the induction sound is amazing. All in all I would have liked a bit more power (I'll wait for my exhaust to die) but drivability and sound make it worth while. The 987 airbox makes the most difference, MAF, TB and Plenum are nice to haves on a 2.7, might add a couple more ponies for larger engines with the exhaust mods.
I tried to contact Wayne multiple times and no reply. Is there a magic way to get a hold of the Wizard?

Wait, you have Geo doing your geo?
Nominative determinism strikes again.
No Geo doesn't do geo. So Geo recommended somewhere else to do geo. But that guy is not called Geo, he's Andy.
Hope that clears things up

Cheers Mick, it was Automek that Morrisons's recommended.
Andrew at Automek did mine and handles on rails. You are in good hands.
If you ever have any issues with George Morrison, as I know a few people that have. APR in Newton Mearns are excellent. Alan knows his way around all Porsche's (Was previously Drew Paterson until he retired and Alan took it over) He normally has one big restoration in. Which is always awesome to have a peek at.

Indi checked all my bolts were free at the service the other week. They dont do 4 wheel alignment but recommended a place in my home town which is handy.
Still a couple of weeks until the MOT so I'll get it all sorted before then.
For alignment Kenny Brown in Hillington is the GOAT. Automek in EK are pretty good too

What the thoughts regarding this as aftermarket replacement?
Love mine!

For those who want switchable eg to not annoy the neighbours at 6am, it would be great to compare the different options. You're getting a brand new exhaust. A carnewal is just an expensive modification to an old exhaust. That was my thinking

Try camskill.
I got mine from Asda tyres

I changed to the assym6 from ps4. And the Goodyears are deffo a better tyre and cheaper too.
More engaging drive, and have been great in all weather

Middle aged! You should take that Mick 😁.
Nice motor! Like many I wouldn't have put gold wheels on a silver car but that works well - very nice wheel design helps.
Looks like one of the Anniversary cars with that colour scheme. I like it but then I like gold wheels on most cars

I have these on mine. And id highly recommend. Also has the added benefit of getting the wheels on easier

Go on you know you want to @Cocky

Before I did my new inlet flange I fitted a pressure data logger to the air inlet. I logged the pressure for nearly 200 miles at speeds upto 130mph. The pressure was always above ambient, never below, the inlet apature and the design is actually very clever, as an engineer working in fluid dynamics for over 25 years , I can confirm that "Porsche do know what they're doing".
There is a slight increase in pressure above ambient over 60mph, but nothing significant until you get over 120mph, the inlet design is very well considered and does benefit from the snorkel and airbox, it all works together. The baffle, for me is optional, others may need it....
As for the scoops, I doubt the small increase in engine power from ram air will offset the increase in drag from any additional scoops ....and only at very high speeds.
I think it is all down to the way they look. If you like them, fit them, they won't do any harm..
Id be very interested in data for with and without the snork. As the design would suggest the snork would reduce intake noise at the expense of reduced airflow.

I wouldn't recommend these exact ones tbh. The fit was terrible, so bad they agreed to refund the money if I snapped them in half
Which I did then got my body shop to repair them for me 😄

You can pay £5 on here to get the full list of options and what they are. Well worth it imo

I have koni sports on my 987 with H&R springs 40mm drop. And its amazing on B roads. Not had it on the track yet. Hopefully next year
Think they have 12 clicks of adjustment off the top of my head.
Ive also replaced the toe arms with adjustables which has kept everything aligned.

I really admire people that can print things that they need! Impressive, again though you really don't need the snork!

Hi Ash
You might be better using a steering column extender to bring the wheel closer. This will give you more room to move your legs around behind the wheel
