Going to service it and keep it for a while longer while keeping an eye on the market.
I think a 718 GTS 2.5 is looking to be the one next, I know it’s not a flat 6 but it offers an awful lot otherwise with great steering and interior and a must have option of PTV as standard which is a great.
We love the 981 GTS but they are too expensive for what they offer IMO and I worry prices will drop swiftly when the market settles down.
The 718 won’t be depreciation free by any means but I think it will be a great car to hold on to and enjoy for a few years. Looking for a decent spec one in a slightly rarer colour
Thanks for all the advice we will get there in the end
Think you are making the right decision. The car market must stabilise at some stage. Even if your car depreciates by the same percentage the fact you are trading up the cost to change will be less

It's a lovely car. Can't see why it wouldnt sell if priced right.

There's something not quite right there... The ad says 43,500 miles. Take a look at the shot of the dash, odometer shows 29,386. Are they using old pictures to sell the car?
This is a car we have sold previously and we used the phots we took before as the weather has been so miserable.
The mileage advertised is the correct mileage.

The price of everything at the moment is over inflated. I sold my house in March for £550K and that had broken the ceiling of prices in the road. Last week a house 3 down from where my house was has just gone on the market for £625K. I purchased my house for £597K in March and next door was told theirs was worth £660K (it has an extra bedroom) she took her chances and listed it for £750K and 2 days later had an offer for £760K with no chain. To say she is pleased is an understatement. Lucky for her she is downsizing.
Don't get me started on the price of basic materials and how they have gone up by at least 60-70%.

Have you got any more pictures by any chance?
No, only saw this the other day. He added a Porsche Detail to the spoiler too

They did not MOT mine until I purchased the car. This was on the basis if no-one purchased it, it went to auction. I had to wait 4 days from the day I agreed to buy the car for them to PDI it. Not sure if possible, however you might be able to ask them for the initial appraisal of the car. If you look at their website, you will see a lot of the cars say save, this is them reducing the prices until either they sell or send the car off. Whether you should wait that's a different story. I tried that on a Golf R they had, but they sold it within 3 days, so it really depends if you want to take the risk. The S3 wasn't selling because it was considered to have high mileage at 72K

@Adrian Major I purchased my S3 from them a few years back. Even though they didnt need too and they had a budget to spend per car, they replaced all 4 tyres on the car before I picked up. On the day I picked up a trailer was there picking up cars to take to auction that were not deemed worth selling as it would not have been economical to fix them or they had inherent issues they may flare up later. I was surprised as the cars look outstanding. One of the cars was a 911 being put on the trailer, it had a intermittent knock in the gearbox and they didnt want to risk selling it. The cars come from their BMW showroom (who do the pdi and mot and repairs) in Hailsham which is 5 miles from this showroom. What you do find with them though and they wont tell you is that they have 6 weeks to sell the cars or they have to ship them to auction and the dealership gets a fine if the cars are not sold. I enquired about the S3 when it was advertised for £19,995 and they would not budge on the price, but I had it saved on the autotrader search. About 6 weeks later the car was reduced to £15,995 and which point I purchased it. Thats when I asked why the reduction and they explained the firms policy.

Thought it was this one too.. reason I said check MOT. If it’s a 2.9 there’s about 3 for sale with similar mileage so you have a few to look at
Nevermind read the beginning, its a 3.4s you are looking at. Good luck!!!

If it’s the white one in Wales that has been for sale for a very long time.
Unless his advert is wrong, it’s got a short mot on it so that would be a bargaining point for me. No extended leather or chrono by the looks of it, relatively basic spec and already has 5 owners. Quite a few which some people don’t like and doesn’t bother others.those centre caps need sorting too, looks blooming awful with silver caps!
of course if it’s not that one, then that’s all just b*ll*x ! 😁

Have you asked the seller for the Reg and checked past MOT history

Premium will go up. Years ago my mum made the mistake of telling the insurance company a call to tell them that a roof tile had fallen on the car and she may make a claim. Asked he why she phoned them as it would cost less to fix then the excess in the policy. She paid for a local company to repair and did go any further with the insurance. When her renewal came, it had a non claim accident on the renewal and policy increased. Not by a lot but they still took it into account,

Not sure @wolverinemac would agree with you.
Must be the old accountant in me. Do prefer a car with lower mileage. My S3 has broken 80K and it is making me sweat.

I have been thinking about fitting the multi function wheel with all the bells and whistles off the later car which would mean that my sports wheel (PDK with paddles) will be available.
I will advertise it on here if I decide to do the swap.
Thanks.... looking at buying a car with it already fitted. But they seem quite a rare find

Out of interest what do they cost
