I need to replace the small fixed brake pipe between the flexible hose to the calliper
Is this a single or double flare joint

986 failed its MOT on emmisions
I had picked up on my Durametic before the MOT that the banks 1 post cat lambda sensor need to be changed
I actually changed the Cat on bank 1 and the pre and post Lambda sensors
Due to circumstances I had not done many miles before the MOT 40-50 miles only
I have now checked again on the Durametic and I do not have any fault codes and on the live data it appears to be ok
I have recently Cleaned the MAF sensor just as part of routine mainteneance
Does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem may be before I go for Bank 2 cat and Lambda sensors replacement??

I think the plan will be strip it al down again and check I have not made a silly mistake or something is wrong I have not picked up

car is in Rutland as far as I know I have adjusted the cables correctly I have followed the Bentley's Service Manual
Adjusted at the wheel 1st then the hand brake cable turnbuckle

yes everything was fully cleaned and greased

Earlier this year I did a full suspension rebuild all corners came off and when it all went back together I fitted
New disks Pads and shoes
It is a tiptronic so to be honest I don't use the handbrake normally I put it into park
I have adjusted the handbrake and it appears to be working on jacks and I cant push the wheel round but on the road the handbrake is not holding
Unless anyone has a bright Idea I am going to strip them down again to double check

they are brand new

Having a problem with the hand brake on the 986
I have fully serviced the brakes and adjusted the hand brake as detailed in the service manual and I have managed to get it onto the the MOT rolling road but I can not get a positive test as had as I try to apply the hand brake i can only show a very small response on the machine...not enough to get a pass
Any suggestions

I can confirm that Porsche is Cheaper for the part

just to check you suggest the multi plug switch on the side of the gear box

So for a while I have had a few issues with my car where the 4 light only was flashing normally when I started the car cold and after 10 mins and upto temperature it would go off
Now I am getting the flashing D&4 lights and the tiptronic is not performing correctly
If I put it on the Durametric software I get P0706 upshift/downshift switch
if I clear the fault code tiptronic work fine no problems for the rest of the day next morning I then have the same problem
First gear shift is a bit lumpy and not as smooth
Any suggestions could it just be the Gear Selector Multi Plug Switch

I have to say the quality is very good
Very good finish on the Castings
I will get some pictures
Rear Sill mud guard trim
