Pezky
quite surprised really... Currently with A-plan, £340 last year, 47 yr old male and slightly younger Mrs Pezky living in rural Northamptonshire, 5k miles pa, kept in garage. Renewal with A-plan £345, if I want trackday cover (5 per year) then £555 Lockton £343 including PCGB trackcover with UK & EU breakdown cover Manning wouldn't insure Mrs P as she had limited driving experience of the car, but want £389 including breakdown & trackday cover just for me

Is there any limit in terms of number of days? Thanks.

Unlimited number of days but the club days are normally expensive compared to other TDOs. Tricky decision really, I've booked the 45min session in October at Silverstone and a PCGB trackday at Oulton park in November (as it's the cheapest) but was thinking of using other trackday providers - of course you don't need insurance cover for trackdays anyway. Jason986S
I'm with eSure. very helpful. Waivered various fee's. Significantly less expensive than some mentioned above. I was tempted by Locktons for the inclusive breakdown cover and PCGB membership/track cover. But I have a breakdown policy with the RAC and I can get PCGB membership anytime if I want it. Maybe worth calling them. £200 cheaper than Adrian Flux and they do multi-car.

jason3.2s
I pay around the £330 for a 981S and got a quote yesterday for a new Carrera GTS and the price only increased by £100!! Was shocked how low insurance is for the value of the cars.
Boxstercol
Locktons are great BUT they won't consider any ncb that you may have built up & you won't be able to add to it. Their risk is based on driving experience when they rate premiums. I was with Locktons & moved to Mannings this year as it meant that in the event of a fault claim I stood to lose the 9 years ncb that I had built up on a second car (Boxster). Reinsuring then would have increased my premium by over £2k. Mannings provided very similar cover but I retain my 9 years protected ncb.
Southy
Locktons should be seen as a 'classic car policy' they don't use NCD, I'm with them and pay £300 per year. they state the benefits as: A fast and fair claims service. You choose the repairer. No arguments about the value of your Porsche after a claim. You can keep the salvage if your Porsche is written-off. Five named drivers. You can use your Porsche for Track Days and Rallies. Your Porsche is insured for driving in the EU. Complete UK & EU breakdown cover. We'll look after everything if your keys are stolen. I just called them and my ballpark cost without going the whole hog on the quote was £300 - they explained no NCD will come into play as noted above, any PCGB organised track event will be covered, full breakdown cover etc as you noted above. I'm tempted to wait until October then take a policy out with Lockton as this would mean the forthcoming PEC drive (end of October) in my own car would be covered as its PCGB organised. This would mean I bin two months of Admiral cover as I am sure they won't be interested in refunding anything to me... This is a little more than Admiral charge for my car from memory but it seems you will be dealing with a reasonable human being rather than a computer (says no), and will cover some of the trackday events I would like to start to take part in. I have also submitted a request to Manning to see what they offer but I don't really feel like trawling through 1001 companies to save a couple of pounds... Southy
IF your not PCGB, locktons will pay for your membership to join, that plus the breakdown cover is worth it

TV8
Less than I remembered actually. Not sure what has happened. I thought I was paying £450 ish and this £300! Need to check the paperwork as i changed from RH to Footman James. That is for the TVR though. I was getting silly quotes for the Boxster when I bought it and Churchill charged me a few £ to swap over from the Saab which was a surprise and a Result! The plan was to try to find someone who will combine them.

Gave them all the info, they didn't bother calling back so I called them. their quote was £200 over my renewal, tracking that's the reason they didn't bother contacting me again!. A-plan have offered a competitive quote but need to clarify some details & contact me current insurers to see if they can do any better
