Pretty sure mine is making a racket on cold start, wondering if I can get at it to see if I can service it in any shape or form. Seems a decent project if it's even possible. And im not 100%, but im assuming as the whine starts just the once on cold start and then stops after say 30 seconds and isnt heard from again until the next cold start. SuperPaulie Posted October 8, 2021 Author Report Share Posted October 8, 2021 Almost a year to the day when I asked about this, I'm about to have a look at the SAI pump as now it's colder I'm hearing it again. A calendar year almost to the day, weird... Mine works fine but I did consider removing it and all the associated gubbins because it is a waste of time and can actually harm the engine.
