Manofkent
Hi I have a Cayenne diesel 2013 in addition to my 981. To be honest its great, always hankered after a GTS around the same era though, seems prices are reasonable at the moment, perhaps because of the fuel crisis. On the basis that petrol cannot be the current price forever (!) does anyone have any real world experience of mpg on one of these? Cheers
Stuart21UK
I had a Diesel Cayenne and we got 31 mpg IF it was a petrol GTS I'd guess at low to mid 20's if you were lucky.

Yeah you're right, I think it's likely to get much more expensive 😱 Edited August 3, 2022 by iborguk

Cheers I know things have moved on a bit, but my 2004 Cayenne S 4.5 V8 returned about 15 to 16 mpg just using it as a daily. A good run would get it to about 22/23 mpg. Great noise though ! chrisace
I also had a 2013 Cayenne Diesel after 2 X5s and i loved it. However i always wanted the V8 Diesel. I drove one at Silverstone when i purchased my Cayenne and it was fabulous. So much torque and the sound was brilliant. That would be my choice as the petrols are very thirsty, regards Chris
Escy
I've got a 957 Cayenne S 4.8, it's pretty bad, averages under 15mpg but I do a fair bit of towing with it.
MarkTF
I’ve got the 4.2 V8 Diesel, it returns a true 37mpg on a run, been getting 400 miles to 50 litres of fuel that’s 1/2 a tank. Slightly worse in winter but I’m not complaining 😀
Lewis987
Early-type Cayenne hydrid here which returns about 27mpg I'd say, 3.30 V6 SC. Not bad for a big old bus. The (1.5km electric range) hybrid is worth next to nothing mpg wise. Mind you, doesn't half shift when asked to...
