AlexW Posted March 26, 2023 Report Posted March 26, 2023 After a 12 month wait I finally get my new Macan S on Wednesday. Which means it’s the less fun task of sorting insurance. Compare the meerkat spat out £890 but I’m sure I can get it lower than that somewhere. It’s not like I’m on 9pts 😂 Quote
red rocket Posted March 26, 2023 Report Posted March 26, 2023 Wherever you end up check whether you can further reduce the cost by using Topcashback or Quidco. 2 Quote
eob Posted March 26, 2023 Report Posted March 26, 2023 Been with Admiral for years and always called for a discount and they usually matched the comparison sites. This year they just couldnt do it so the cheapest was LV=. £280. Yet again it was cheaper to add the good lady even though she refuses to drive it. 1 Quote

Same here mate, but insurance on the Cayman is only 23 squid per month, so getting older has got some advantages... ☺️ I've been using Confused.com for years, and they seem to come up with competitive prices every time (I swapped from Saga to RAC this year, and that kept the price about the same as last year) Quote
mr.tourette23 Posted March 28, 2023 Report Posted March 28, 2023 For some reason my last 2 porsche have bethe cheapest cars I've ever insured.. Currently with Churchill.. 180 fully comp, old fart with no claims tho I suppose 😂 Quote
jmsgld Posted May 27, 2024 Report Posted May 27, 2024 My 986 S has always been under £200, it's the cheapest of my 3 cars, even when the other 2 doubled in price this last year the 986 stayed about the same... I'm 41 and have 20y + no claims on all 3 , 3 points Quote
jmsgld Posted May 27, 2024 Report Posted May 27, 2024 I'm with esure, they're pretty useless but let me use my preferred independent windscreen fitter and are cheap Quote
Stewart Welsh Posted May 28, 2024 Report Posted May 28, 2024 I’ve been with Sheila’s Wheels for the last ten years and pay around £200. I think they are part of e sure. It’s one of the few good things about getting old, cheap insurance. Everything else is rubbish. Quote
P27GLN Posted August 27, 2024 Report Posted August 27, 2024 Anyone tried this BoXa Insurance as seen advertised in this forum, from Howden Specialist Vehicle? Quote

Bodge50 Posted August 30, 2024 Report Posted August 30, 2024 Mileage is the biggest problem regarding insurance pricing I've found .TIPEC recommend Classic Line with discount - as soon as i told them i did 12K miles a year they didn't even want to give me a quote ! Quote
