Well, it’s been short but sweet once again. The Boxster GTS 4.0 is heading off to trade-in this Saturday. I’ve LOVED the car - absolutely epic but I need something a bit more practical (2 seater roadster not super practical, shock headline!).
So I’ll have a few bits and bobs that will be up for sale… looks like the Windschott glass deflector, all weather mats, and ZunSport grilles have already been reserved, but I do have a fantastic set of 18” OEM winter wheels and tyres looking for a new home. Give me a shout if you’re interested 😃

Surely we should have got a spoiler alert on that last post! 😅

Do you find you are getting reflections (in daylight or at night) in the rear view mirror from the clear deflector?
G
I’ve not driven it at night yet to see what the reflections are like. I can see a fairly minimal reflection of the PDK gearstick during the day but it isn’t too distracting at all.

Drove it in grim weather , they really aren’t water soluble.
I can concur. Hood down this morning around -3C… until it started snowing as I sat in stationary traffic. Then hood up, climate control back down and heated seats off 😅

Are you going to keep it now, with the prospect of better weather soon?
I drive it pretty much all the time with the hood down anyway 😁 Just means I’ll maybe stick the seat heating on a 2 and turn off the heated steering wheel! 😅
It’s tempting - it really is an amazing car… If I can’t get a sensible price I’ll keep hold of it for as long as I can.
We used the better half’s car at the weekend for a family trip… 130 miles later and the battery was down from 100% to 20%… the range isn’t great at the best of times let alone the cold snap we’re in. I’d trade that one in if I could but given it’s my wife’s company car that’s not going to happen!

Drove it to and from work… all fixed and just like new again 🥰

Thanks TopBox!
Thanks Gerry!
Yep, good info. I reckon I’d probably let it go for £72k if I could get that, if not, I’ll just have to keep it - oh the hardship! 😆
Bit of a hit on purchase price last August so we’re back to ‘normal’ service from car deals - the rise in interest rates hasn’t helped, although production on ICE cars in general is still down and will be held back until OEMs can shift their EVs to hit their targets. I don’t expect there will be very many more BGTS4s hitting the market this year or next until they are replaced with the electric versions…

I’m currently toying with the idea of selling my Boxster GTS 4.0 - I’m (unfortunately) in need of something a bit more family / dog friendly.
2021 Porsche Boxster GTS 4.0
PDK
First reg 24/07/2021. I’m the second owner. 5500 miles. Porsche warranty until 23/07/2025.
Carmine red exterior + GTS interior pack in Carmine red
PASM with ride height lowered by 10mm
GT sport multifunction and heated wheel
18-way adaptive sports seats with memory package
two zone climate control
smoking package (never smoked in)
BOSE surround sound system with upgraded Burmester tweeters (makes a big difference!)
electrically folding exterior mirrors including courtesy lighting
automatically dimming mirrors with integrated rain sensor
ParkAssist (front and rear) + professionally fitted rear view camera
cruise control
Zunsport Grilles
Integrated and hardwired FitCamX dash cam
Fully GTechniq coated
all weather mats plus OEM GTS mats
35W bi-xenon bulb upgrade which again makes a huge difference over standard lights (included new shunts / wires: OEM parts available)
Spare 18” OEM wheels + Pirelli SottoZero winter tyres
So that’s the good bit. The bad bit (as you may have seen from previous posts) was the new rear bumper which is currently being fitted by an approved body shop after an old lady drove into my car in a car park. I’m sure the car will be perfect once I collect it and I’ve been informed it was just cosmetic damage.
I’ve looked online and there are very few examples for sale to get a good feel for pricing… Most are well north of £80k with a couple of cars around £73k with more miles, lower spec and potentially not great colour schemes (depending on your tastes).
Obviously WBAC pricing is geared to ‘selling a convertible in the winter’ so I’m looking for feedback from forum members on what this would go for in a private sale. Any sensible suggestions on pricing?

Oh no 😱😭
I know - not happy!
She drove into one of your old alloys too! Currently waiting for the body shop to get back to me with a date to get it fixed 😐

Not so much what I did to my car today but what someone else did after they drove into me by not giving way in a car park…🙄

Drove it in sub-zero conditions on salty roads. “Ban me.”
That’s crazy. Your car is basically useless and will dissolve within the next 7 days. In order for this not to make a mess on your driveway you can send me the keys and I will ‘dispose’ of it for you in an environmentally friendly manner. You are welcome. 😁

Nope, full carbon!
Managed to sell them last night, so perhaps I was selling too cheaply 😆

Washed the car to get the daily grime off and was about to fit some carbon fibre side grilles… only to realise that they won’t fit the GTS 4.0 because of the single blade design - doh! 🙄
Nice quality, full carbon fibre with mesh design to stop those pesky leaves blowing into your engine intake. Brand new and never fitted. Just looking to get back what I paid for them, so £150 posted in the UK or £140 collected / delivered in South Lanarkshire.

Upgraded the OEM 25W bulbs with Philips x-treme vision gen 2 35W D3S bulbs, upgraded shunts and OEM connecting wires. Looks brighter 👍
Not exactly in the same league as the matrix beams on the 992 / Panamera / RS3 / RS6 but better than the OEM candles Porsche put in as standard 😁
-
Yep, drive with them in all year round. Good quality (they did smell a bit at first!) and fit well, as you’d expect.

I wouldn’t personally bother after the free period. I tend to use Apple CarPlay (Google maps) for Navigation and traffic updates.
I’ve had Porsche connect in the last few cars I’ve had and can’t say I ever really used any of the apps at all.

Added a reversing camera…
…well, not me, but Dougie at Empirical In-Car Technology did a brilliant install today. Looks 100% OEM. Great price and excellent service - highly recommended!

"Spy photographers managed to catch this black-painted, camouflaged-clad prototype of the all-electric 718 Boxster driving on the road, giving us our best look yet at what the production version may look like. Despite dropping the internal combustion engine altogether, the car still maintains a mid-engine silhouette, with a two-seat forward cabin "

I upgraded the Bose tweeters to the Burmester versions… About £130 all in and probably about 5-10 mins per side. Easy upgrade and certainly greater clarity to the sound.

So far I’ve bought an excellent set of winter wheels from Moonshine, and a set of Zunsport grilles… I haven’t even picked up my car yet 😆
Just gone and bought one😱
