What method did you use @Mark Lane?

Interesting a new one starts at £156k before options, but from a quick glance at the configurator most options are already there, so not sure how you'd arrive at nearly a further £60Kish to get near that EUR250k!! Mind you thats UK prices, but even so the difference is huge - maybe a megga waiting list? If you're back getting your coolant be interested to see what the options are its got on it - sadly cannot read from the photo.
Having said that, at the Cayenne launch i was shocked to see the Burmester top end audio was a £4.5k option. I like music and I like quality, but I'd thinking really hard before paying that for a system at home never mind in the car!

Actually I have not replaced them, they were like this when I bought the car, however the last owner had replaced the condensers and rads on either side but I don't know if he did any work in replacing or refurbishing these. They look like they could be removed and re-sprayed reasonably easily.
Hope that helps - Stephen

Mine are scabby, and I have actually got 2 new ones from the OPC, in black just to clip in when I get round over winter to taking the bumper off probably getting it resprayed, cleaning out the rads, fitting mesh etc. Cost was about £20 per side, part numbers are 986.505.554.01 01c (right) and 986.505.553.01 01c (left), and at that money I thought I'd just fit new, as old ones had obviously been refurbished a number of times with varying expertise!!
There were some platinum coloured ones, can't recall what models got these. Mine looked silverish, but with Porsche logic platinum coloured ones are a horrendous price of about £130 each!!
Having said that I've had a quick look on Design 911 and they have both the above black ones at over £60 each, so if you are thinking of getting new ask an OPC for a price first. I got mine a year ago.

It's always the last bl**dy sensor! LOL
Doesn't matter what random order you check them - how do cars know that? Getting far too clever these electrickery systems!!

I seriously like that refurb............ I saw the the top before pic first and thought another red caliper.
Nice to see a non red restored to original... what did you finish the caliper with ?
Know what you mean. I don't mind a few 'tweaks' but I couldn't see the point of doing the callipers red as its not an 'S', and the badge on the boot says 'Boxster' - which in itself is odd as the car's build spec says it was de badged - but i digress.
I gather from an earlier post of my 'orrible calipers that the original finish would have been anodised, and no chance of re creating that. Didn't think gloss black was right, so ended up with Matt Black calliper paint. Good wire brushing and cleaning with brake cleaner and painted in situ - 2 coats. Will have to see how the matt wears/cleans, but its much better than it was. Also painted the bells as they were manky as is usual for the bells.

Have you got a link to where you purchased them? Thanks.
@Daffy Local OPC - numbers are as follows:-
996.504.503.00 (Left) 996.504.504.00 (Right) They are £11.50 each +VATScrews for above 999.073.061.03 6 of them £0.30 each +VATSpeed nuts for above 999.591.699.02 6 of them £0.30 each +VATWasn't sure what condition of fasteners would be so got replacements as at 30p each......... Dosed the self tappers in WD40 and they did come out okay. A couple needed a bit of persuasion, used the old 'tighten it' first to break the grip.My prices are from September - just got around to fitting these as I'm working my way around the car slowly fettling bits!I'm a PCGB member so asked for discount and got it. Others will say you can just ask for a discount and often get it. I used Nottingham, Parts Dept there is very very helpful in my experience, if you get stuck they would probably post to you.FYI Design911 is asking £12.01 + VAT plus postage for the aero bit, and I think they were more expensive when I was looking back in September. Just shows often the OPC can be as cheap or cheaper, and I think quite a few will post if you are not near one.Hope this helps!- 2

Ongoing fettling of the recent 986 purchase
Hate having bits not quite right so changed the front aero lips by the front wheels including the fixings - even though there's only minor damage to the existing ones

Washed it, and then panicked a lot on finding a green damp patch on the garage floor, just behind the drivers seat position. Without pausing decided I had a coolant leak, although coolant level was about correct (as vehicle is new to us still monitoring everything quite closely) , and panicked accordingly, hoping it was easily fixed or at least drivable to get to Revolution in Brighouse (just over an hours M way drive)
So engine cover off, front cover off, wheel off, under tray looked at, full on the drivers side of this green, so then realised that to try and see which coolant pipe it was - hoping it would be something simple like a hose clip - needed to remove under tray. So release drivers side and by pulling down spot the liquid is coming from the joint of one or both of two metal air con pipes where they join the pipes running to front of the car, and which were dry on the top.
Sounds of pennies dropping, quick dip of a paper towel into coolant header tank proved it was pink, and so yes this was an air con leak! So moral of the story is pause, think things through, and double check the obvious i.e. what is the coolant colour, before jumping to conclusions, but you know what its like, especially when you see the amount of liquid there's been in the under tray!!!
Should've been on to it sooner as when we got car we knew air con wasn't working, and previous owner wasn't sure why as he's had two new condensers fitted not long before. When in at Revolution they couldn't see anything at that time and no leaks detected so it was recharged and worked, and that was back in October. I think we've now found where the leak is!! Any idea if there's some sort of a gasket/o ring in those two joints?
So a good 2 hours spent on that this afternoon, instead of fixing the rattling exhaust heat shield on the other side.
My first sight of what was in the under tray!
