Wow great job, yes keeping them dry is important, I noted they introduced covers to protect from the elements on the 992 recently. I've attempted to protect mine to try and prevent failure for as long as possible.
Do you have any tips you can share on how to protect them? Thanks

I have the high glass one and really like it. Expensive, yes, but the visibility difference over the mesh one is night and day!

Last October I got prices for a 6 year service from all OPCs within a 60 mile or so radius from me. I am based in the midlands. None of them were following the old fixed price servicing and their prices had gone through the roof. I decided to go with a reputable independent and will continue to do so from now on. The difference saved paid for my insurance!

That looks great - congratulations and welcome to a very friendly forum!

I've given up plans of getting mine serviced at an OPC and paying their extortionate prices. It's going for it's next service at a reputable independent soon. I had a think and realised I'm not interested in the "complementary" (scratched) car wash, oil top up pouch (already have 2 spare!) or washer fluid. Obviously a new porsche courtesy car for a day is nice but hey ho.

I'm struggling to get any quotes below £1000 for the 6 year service which sounds ridiculous and I've now contacted quite a few. @GladysFriday - where did you get a quote of £852 from if you don't mind sharing? Maybe message me if you'd rather not make it public. Thanks.

Well spotted. I had never noticed this before either.

I went from a poorly specced 997 C2S gen 2 coupe to an extremely well specced Boxster 981s and I prefer the 981. I think being able to have the roof down in the Boxster adds a lot to the experience whereas the 997 was quite muted apart from road noise!

Dermot's location is "Oxford", anyone got good OPC suggestions? I have rarely heard good things about Silverstone. Solihull?
Mine came as a used approved from Solihull and my experience was excellent.

I'm due a 6 year service in a couple of months so interested to see how this pans out.

Good video. I'd always wondered why the GT4 used what I thought were the standard rear lights and not the GTS ones.

Maybe a bit 1980's OTT but perhaps recovering the steering wheel in black would tone it down a bit. It would be a shame to miss out on the car if the rest of it is good. It wouldn't necessarily put me off.

Hi
I also have the same cover for my Boxter do you wash the car before putting the cover on ??
thanks for any feedback
Yes I only ever use it if the car is clean or I don't bother until I next clean it. Having had no issues with it I can only assume that those who slate outdoor covers are using a poor one and/or on a dirty/dusty car.

In case anyone is interested I've just moved to A-Plan. I got a good deal from Gareth who beat the price compared with the renewal quoted by my current provider. Thanks.

Mine has always done that so I guess it's normal. Maybe it's related to the ventilation flaps or something like that.

That looks really good. Well done for getting the badge level and evenly spaced too!

Great review @daz05. I had a Cayenne loaned to me when my car was in for a service recently and pretty much echo your thoughts. "Mine" was the base model but it still suprised me with the performance for such a big heavy car. It had air suspension and rode beautifully. It didn't sound as good as the one you borrowed though. It was very muted despite having a sports exhaust button which didn't seem to make much difference!
To grill or not to grill?

How does the centre grill attach? Do you need to screw through the plastic?
