I’m probably being thick but how have the numbers for 981 Boxsters on the road gone UP in 2022…….surely you’d expect a gentle decline in numbers Year on year?🧐

They were not an option on the BGTS when I ordered mine in 2015 but options do come a go!

Yes of course happy to. Just the Bose is more punchier on the Bose and does not distort at all all the way to the loudest level, playing House and RnB like I like. The Burmeister was very loud and very very clear and sharp but just didn’t feel the tight bass
I'm surprised by what you say of the comparison between Bose and Burmester. Admittedly my comparison was in 981 S/GTS cars. I was "lucky" enough to score a long term Boxster S loaner, whilst my other car was repaired after a shunt, just before my GTS order locked down. I found the Bose in the S dreadful with an imprecise and overblown base that I couldn't tame at all with the tone controls. I confess this surprised me as I have had Bose in several other makes of car and found the setups really good. On the strength of this I ordered the Burmester, without hearing it first (couldn't find an example to listen to), in my BGTS and have never regretted it for a moment. My GTS is my daily and the roof is always down if it's not raining (...and sometimes even then!!). I also like my music loud and like tight, controlled, deep base. The soundstage in the Burmester is excellent for a car and is only beaten by the likes of the B&O in my Aston but if you think the Burmester is pricey you should see the tag on the B&O!

Hi Jurassic,
You've set up your Ctek exactly the way I did. I had a problem, after a while, which originally I thought might have been the charger. This turned out to be corrosion on the bolt into the front wing causing too much resistance and confusing the charger. I cleaned up the contact area again and then smeared a bit of Vaseline onto the bolt and connector to prevent recurrence. It's worked a treat so far and may save you from a similar fate!

Really interesting. However I can't be the only one wincing at the careless way he tosses the trim panels around! Leave the PCM hanging by its loom.....what could possibly g9 wrong!🤪

I fitted the GT4 shifter turret. I did it when the car was nearly new so it made the shift action noticeably notchier but the throw is wonderful. The notchiness has since settled down. Shift effort has never bothered me, before or after. As a side benefit, the lower gear knob height looks better and makes access to the buttons on the centre console easier. I'm still using my original gaiter despite promising myself a new one (with a contrast stitch to match the rest of the interior) 4 years ago. The "excess" material is not a problem.
I hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply. Did you screw them to the garage floor? If so do you have any issues driving over the first set when parking? Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to get an idea of the potential pitfalls.

Calypso, do you mind me asking where you got your tyre stands? What make are they? I was looking to get some but all the ones I looked at were too narrow.

These things are all personal preference but I’ve recently found that anthracite wheels work really well on black cars…..you still see the detailing/shape, like you do with silver, but have a slightly softer contrast. Best of both worlds?
