Does anyone know of a good breakdown service for classic cars ?. RAC, AXA and Greenflag do not have breakdown for cars over 15 years old. Even though the mileage on mine will be under 1,000 miles per year. I did find one that I had never heard of before but did not take into consideration classic car mileage of 1,000 miles per year.
I’m with Green flag just renewed and my 996 is 23 years .

I have always liked cars but during my working life had the usual things mortgage, children etc.So once l was lucky enough to retire early with no mortgage and kids sorted ln there own properties it was time to look at cars l could never have have considered earlier in my life.
We was away for a few days and out walking when we walked passed a boxster and the wife said that looks nice and from there it started. Many years have passed which have included a 987,981 and 2 x 996 C4.My current 996 C4 is now the keeper ,don’t do my miles in it put it’s just a joy to drive and as some have said you don’t need to drive it fast all the time ,l just like driving it and seeing it in the garage, which my kids think is mad but l don’t care.

I've been waiting for my new company Octavia estate since November (Plug in hybrid right enough), currently stating that it will be December this year. Its been pushed back 3 times now. So I'd say 40 weeks would be lucky

Had our Volvo XC60 renewal come today.Last year it was £373 this year £300.83.And also got a cash back from saga of £40 for taking out there insurance for the 996 last Dec.So that’s £215 for year.
So for once quite happy with car insurance companies.

Insurance runs out end of December so started looking around for prices.Mainly looked at companies not on comparison site’s for a change.
Tried saga a few years ago (as I am of that age bracket) and they seemed expensive, any way but details in and they came out the cheapest and it’s fixed for three years so have gone with them.Present insurance company sent there renewal email and they are £156 more for next year,so for me I am quit satisfied with car insurance for a change.

Off topic l know, when l worked used to go to a lot of veg pack houses. The plastic packaging would be say no frill carrots, they would stop the line change packaging and the carrots became deluxe carrots.

Just had our building and contents renewal come and it’s £5 cheaper than last year.Wondering if that is the reason why?.

Two doors down from my daughter there is a 996 cab not turned a wheel for5 years.Roof gone green with moss on it tyres flat and weeds all around it .Real shame.

I notice its got Michelin tyres instead of Pirelli . Only 1,250 being built - a good investment if you could buy one !
Bet uk allocations are all gone.

This is Porsches special classic edition, that sees them totally restore the car giving it special paint, new interior etc, there are a few threads on these, they have done it with some older 911's and some other models too.
They have done it to a 924 they where advertising awhile back.
