for me the biggest driving difference from 981 to 718 was the huge improvement in steering feel. You didn't mention that @JurrasicGTS ?
-
I like it, very nice.
What does the "T" spec provide?

The Litchfield does seem like an interesting idea but another issue is the exhaust valves staying closed between something like 2000 - 5000 revs, so maybe that's the first step from someone like cargraphics, the other attraction to that is that it's probably not obvious to a Porsche dealer so warranty less likely to be affected.

Thanks @iborguk and @menoporsche for comments. I have indeed found the tyre inflator in frunk too.
Definitely no mention in my manual of where the power outlets are located but the footwell one worked fine and tyres all topped up now.
Thanks again, Barry

My 2017 with smokers package has the ciggy socket (so yes to answer your question you need the smokers package). I also have 12V accessory outputs in the passenger footwell and the centre console armrest compartment.
Just USB socket in centre armrest BUT found power outlet in passenger footwell, THANKS! Could not initially see it from drivers seat

Can't seem to find a cigarette lighter power socket in my 718 boxster. Am I missing something or has it gone now unless the smoking package is specified?
I use socket for my tyre inflater. Back to a foot pump I suppose!

Porsche OPC struggling to get the Vodafone tracker (+ connected services) working on my Boxster so checked with Aviva, and as above, no price difference without tracker so that will save me subscribing. Car value is in excess of £75k so clearly that is not an issue either

Just quoted 4Q 2023 delivery for new Boxster GTS orders, so seemingly getting longer, which seems odd as component shortages must be getting better and excuses about factory fires, water shortages, and even Covid can't go on for ever, so are new orders significantly up so much?

Have you ordered one?
I was on the configurator and my next step was to ask my OPC about lead times for the PDK version.
Delivery lead time for new GTS orders now.....4Q 2023

If you are thinking of the NM Automotive product (which I have) then the owner, Nick, can suggest some installers if you ask.

Just had my 6-yr service for £875 which I would expect most OPCs outside the Porsche-owned West London/ Thames Valley/ Surrey area collective to be able to meet.

@BarrySt Out today roof down and the performance of the Pippens Wind deflector is spot on. Fit is perfect so no rattling. As for turbulence nothing that I would moan about. I can drive at a very progressive SAFE speed with my cap on and there is no threat of loosing it. So that’s how I’d gage excessive wind turbulence. Visually it is a vast improvement IMHO especially seeing the PORSCHE etching in the rear view mirror 👍
Thanks. Cap integrity is my measure too!
I'll take a look at getting this I think, thanks again for following up.

I didn’t find the Porsche wind deflector a problem where wind turbulence is concerned. In fact I didn’t suffer any whilst top down driving. As for the pippen deflector. Due to the horrendous weather at present no roof down driving opportunities have presented themselves 😂😂 Can’t see there being any difference as it is exactly the same dimensions
Thanks. Actually I do find quite a lot of turbulence top down. Perhaps I'm sitting higher in seats? As Menoporsche says it's solid compared to Mesh which made me wonder if it would have a different aerodynamic effect on air flow. But understand that visibility should be improved and it looks good. If we ever get decent weather back then please let us know if you find any difference on windiness!

Any advantage over existing deflector for reduced wind turbulence?
huge insurance increase

Aviva just increased my renewal price by 88% from £416 to £784 with no changes on my side other than 1-year older to 66 this year. Could that be it or otherwise what the heck is going on with insurance prices? Checking with Confused.com this seems typical price range although went with esure for £500 with increased total excess to £1k.
