Hi,
My 987s is great however i have a little thing that annoys me and not sure how to fix:
1) when softop down and windows down, i sometimes when going over a pothole or bump get a light clunk from the window inside - any views how to fix? it doesnt hapen when windo is up
2) with softop up and windows up, i think there could be a better fit between the rubber and window as i do get some noise as the seal is not perfect. it doesnt leak any water or anything just give some noise as there is a gap
My local indy adjusted the window angle but doesnt seem to have fixed the problem, any views?
Many thanks

I have a black softtop on my 987s and it looks reasonably new and in good condition (not faded) so reckon it has been garaged. Any top tips for keeping it looking like this i.e any products to protect it looking new?
thanks

i'm pleased with them. i always like to keep a car standard so was a bit unsure before i put them on - but i think with the colour of the car and the standard black wheels - thye look good on the car and gives it a modern look without looking like "aftermarket"

I used to have a 986s 2001 and always used Mobile 1 peak life 5 50. I now have a 987s 2007 with 50k miles. My indy is saying i should use 5 40. Any views on this and mobile type etc?
many thanks

Having had a 986s before and living in an area where you really need to fold the mirrors in when you park to avoid them being knocked off - i was a bit confused as to why the 987s mirrors would not fold in like the 986s. anyway i found on youtube how to do it...see attached

I am having an intermittent problem when i am trying to start my 987s 2007. I turn the key and it doesnt turn over and message says indicates i need to "depress clutch." I push harder into the clutch and try and turn the key but it can take a few attempts. any ideas how to fix the issue?

Hi,
I'm looking to buy a 987 3.4s boxster with 60/70k. I've had a 986s for 6 years. Can anyone help me with the following:
1) Does the 987s 3.4 2007 have any issues with ims or is that all resolved by then?
2) Car options - on my 986s i had a white spec sheet that had codes detailing option fixed to underside of bonnet and also in service book - can you confirm where this is located in a 987s 3.4?
3) any known issues with 987s i need to be aware of and properly check?
4) looking for a car with PASM and 18 in alloys
5) any other advice greatly appreciated
Thanks

There's a fair number of salvage motors out there at the various breakers. Need to ensure you have the donor car's mileage, service history etc but bear in mind no warranty. All depends how deep your pockets are for a car worth what, £6k?? Hartech could cost you all of that. Besides what has failed or what symptoms or what mileage make you think a rebuild is necessary?
thanks for information - there is an internal noise and so will get in touch with hartech. any others, ams prosche?

I'm in Edinburgh but interested to hear any recommended places
