When I changed my lock I forgot to connect the key linkage and had the same issue when I left the car for a week. Time to take off the wheel liners. Hope you didn’t leave the locking wheel nut key in the car🤔

That's exactly where it is :(

  2. Hi Nobbie, arch liners not removed no, so that was probably the problem..
Battery is fine, as the constant setting off of car alarm testified to.. :)
Key seems to move very freely in lock so I think it must be disconnected inside by some means. Doesnt actually spin, stops at each end of quarter turn.

  3. Hi all, I have a 2003 Boxster S, the other day went to drive it, electric locking had turned itself off so put the key in door and turned but nothing, just freely turned.
Called out a breakdown company and they couldn't break in as the glass fits too high into door and would certainly break.
Tried to find the cable to open front hood (The breakdown guy was going to disconnect battery and then reconnect in the hope that would enable the electric locking? Don't know if that would work?) but no sign of it in either arch. (Did have that problem before and Cotswold Porsche did something but they cant remember as was years ago)
No idea what to do or try now. Any ideas?
    Thank you..

Have you tried B.A.S International they are only about 40mins away from you. They may possibly give you some advice.

I have already made a note of their number on my list, had a couple of these telling me theres nothing that can be done though, but will give them a try, thank you

    Here's a photo I found from July 2016:

If you look closely, you can see there is some stitching that perished over time due to the tightness of the fabric against the rubber edge. I got it repaired and restitched by a hood specialist in Oxsted - Oxsted Trimming Company https://goo.gl/maps/b6Stj8M4A1HDBToy6

The repaired stitching is more conspicuous than the original, but it has held up well. I'll try and take some photos tomorrow.

Thank you. Bit of a hike at 2.5 hours but will bear in mind

I have this problem too. The fabric that tucks underneath has come away as the adhesive has basically degraded.

I have half a mind to fix myself by putting the roof in service mode and using some big bulldog clips to hold the fabric in place and apply a suitable adhesive. No sure what adhesive to use yet.

Yep, sounds exactly same, can only see old glue residue, no sign of any stitching. my car 2003 if that makes any difference

  7. Has anyone had this problem? The roof has come unstuck at back underneath the window. Gone very quick , the glass is surprisingly heavy and not helped. I live in Bristol and cant find anyone local to help. Has anyone had it repaired properly?  Dont fancy attempting myself as far too complicated to glue and hold with the glass.  Happy to drive a few hours to get it done properly, thanks

*Tried adding pic but phone pic too big..

  8. Bit late, but Thursday she had MOT. Was a bit worried as I got her with only 6 months MOT on, but it was instant love at first sight so I was helpless...

I knew I needed 2 back tyres and she moved about a bit at speed and has a bit of noise in front suspension but luckily enough she sailed through test and just needed the 2 rear tyres, phew!
Got Michelin pilot sport 4 - 265/35 18, stung a bit at £382, supplied fitted etc inc VAT

Had some old michelins on there which were badly worn, the difference in ride now is incredible, all the moving about beforehand must have been down to the tyres, oops me!
Seems to absolutely stick to the road going round corners in the wet as well, I'm very impressed.
Next job, a service At Cotswold I think and hopefully some good advice from Lee

  9. Scared the s*** out of myself, started her up, got out to get something, getting back in managed to stand on the accelerator, max revs :(
Did it once before whilst sat inside trying to get something out of my pocket, but at least she was warmed up that time, only been running about 20 seconds this time. I'm sure she sounds louder and a bit 'rougher' now, but probably my paranoid mind
