So the 718 finishes now in Europe due to cybersecurity regs, just the Spyder and GT4 RS continue … not sure how and why…
-
I only used it once, on the week before I sold my car for the Aston, you can have it for 50% plus postage of the retail cost.
Would like to see it go to a good home 🙏🏽

Porsche West London have a new one for sale as I’m sure other dealers do

Haha yeah ok let’s see. I’ll be selling my only used once OEM Porsche outdoor cover if someone wants to make me a good offer
-
Well, done the deal today and purchased the Aston, sorted the insurance too so all good
Should be ready to pick up on Sat, managed to get 2 years warranty, a car cover and a day at Millbrook, so all good. Will be sad to leave you guys here

Keeping the 911, just thinking about changing my 718S. Would love a new gen Bentley V8 but can’t afford that just yet. The Vantage was good but tbh I wasn’t amazed by it. The internal Plastics are a bit cheap but loved the full alcantara trim. Rear quad pipes are small and not well kept. And one last thing that is not making me go ahead, insurance £4800

Sooo my thoughts are on possibly changing my car. I have a budget of £80k. Love my 718S but looking at the 4.0 GTS I’m slightly worried that the 718 is nearing its end date at 7 years now, that a new one will be out next year in electric form.
What are peoples thoughts on a 69 plate Vantage in its place as below…just trying to upload it

Got pads and discs done for £1200 in East Mids with ex Porsche dealer mechanic, Labour rate only £70 an hour and used Brembo etc
Let me know if you want his details
-
So having looked at this - £2300 from Porsche for the pads and discs and £1850 from an Indy for the same work and parts etc
What if I went with Brembo etc, which will cost me £1000. Does anyone know that when it come to me extending my warranty whether Porsche will actually know any different? And as it’s a consumable product would it make any difference?
-
Indy was £1857 - dealer said they could get parts to reduce it so likely to go with dealer for proposed works

Been quoted £2200 for front and rear.
Waiting for my Indy who said parts prices will be the same just the Labour will be much less
Will keep you posted what they quote
-
I just got the video but not heard back from the service advisor - I know a great Indy to use so will see what he quotes. Parts for Brembo are about £600 on Design911 / not sure what labour would be ….
-
Porsche have said front and rears close to sensors - what cost for Porsche, and if I have an Indy do it with OEM parts, would that still be ok with warranty and what costs would that be do you think?
Assistance much appreciated as always
Nick

I stand very much corrected - it’s a 718

Sorry 981 - fat digits!!!
-
I thought the rear lights def looked like a 982 though…will look again
-
Raise your eyebrows and look out for the girl driving a 981 Red Boxster in the advert…
-
Yes Gentian….I prefer the 718S, Mrs Nick has spun the 911 coming out of a roundabout. Too much power to rear wheels on a C2S. Also I wish we had got a coupe as a Cab looks too fat at the back with the roof down
-
That’s unusual as never been my ride. Previous car was a 981S in Agate

As we all know the costs for replacement lights are not cheap (£1000 plus) so I’m just curious to see if anyone has tinted/wrapped their rear lights to remove the redness in the them.
Thanks

Thanks worked for me too
