Was not out to buy a car but when I came across my now 987.1 and as it was unusually spec'd I bought it - 42k miles, GT silver, carrera wheels, carbon fibre pack, sports seats etc - a few little bits got changed, steering wheel, car-play DAB stereo, throttle body, IPD plenum, air filter and to bring it all together a FVD Brombacher map. Now could I get a newer car ? of course but I think it adds to the enjoyment and over all ownership that it did not cost the earth to buy .... unlike my tesla model x.

For cost, driver engagement - I think my 987.1 is simply enjoyable and brings the youth out in me.....

Funny post - made me smile. I have a Tesla and a 987 with PSE - can confirm that neither both cars have their unique traits but are def not a replacement for each other - its a great change to get out of the ultra quiet tech and jump into the PSE environment 🙂

Only disadvantages is to sell my Boxster with those parts fitted 🙂

About to start on a new project, buying a catamaran - probably more of a life change than a project, but anyway. Spent a VERY long time finding the Boxster but as we have an Audi Allroad and the wife has golf gti - I need to start watching the pennies and focusing all funds to the boat and probable mooring fees etc.

Had a change of mind to return my 987 back to standard, so removed:

IPD Plenium 

82mm Throttle Body

Performance air filter

Next to come off will be:

LED rear light clusters

JVC car play stereo with bose adaptor

This weekend, iron fallout clean, a little paint correction, some Poor Boys products and finished of with Jetseal
