Tax on 1st of the month to get best 'value'. 1 day = 1 month, so taxing on 31st means a whole month just as taxing on 1st of the month. Likewise SORN on final day of the month.
Very true if your already taxed but in this instance if your car is SORN and you want to tax it to beat the price increase on 1st April you can (or at least you could last year)tax up to 48 hours in advance of the 1st April. If you did it on the 1st April you would incur the price increase..

There’s always this cheaper option with lots of specs depending on your needs.
I’ve seen them in the flesh and with a few tweaks on fitment they do look remarkably OEM. Plenty of threads on these online for reference too.

Discs old chap. Discs.
When you say the condition do you mean they are warped, very worn or just some superficial surface rust ?
In my experience if a garage tells you your discs and pads need replacing it usually means you’ve got at least another 12/18 months of normal use before you actually do😀
Its very common to have some surface rust on your brake discs especially if the car is used lightly and sat over a winter… unless it’s severe I would say highly unlikely to be more than an advisory on an MOT.
Your discs and pads will usually respond well to a really good run out ,give it some beans followed by some heavy but careful braking and repeat to clean up the discs and free up the calipers.. -
Turn the key in the lock as if opening the door manually. This should wake up the car so to speak. Then just blip the remote as you would normally to lock/unlock.
You shouldn’t need to put the key in the ignition IIRC?
What is the issue ?

My gut feeling is that is a straight car
The OP should do some due diligence and if it checks out be jumping all over it at 9500-10k. -
I’ve seen a lot lot worse but it’s hard to see from the pics..
I had a silver rear quarter sprayed at an OPC Bodyshop and it was never quite right as the flip in the metallic just caught the light differently. Im also a fussy bugger and can spot imperfections at 100 paces.. I took it back and they blended into the door but it still bugged me..
At the end of the day it’s always worth asking them to take another look but the danger with reds is you keeping chasing round the car panel edge to panel edge.
What is it you don’t feel is right ?
Colour match into the rear wings ?

I had one of these for my 986. Highly recommend and fitted like a condom.

To clarify. In the flesh it was a very clean tidy car, certainly one of the best.
BUT
it needed tyres(age)air con didn’t work and it would need a good major service based on lack of use..so you could factor 1500+ in if the aircon is a simple fix
If the purchaser wanted a keeper then they’ve purchased a lovely fairly low mileage low owner car in a rare colour at top money.
if it was a dealer expect to se it up at 23k somewhere soon:)
as they say.
find another.

Popped in to have a nosy at another car thats up for auction tonight and took a quick look at this whilst i was there
Its a tidy car,the video makes it look slightly better than in the flesh IMO. It will need a good recommisioning service including plugs, belts /coils etc,as its only had f infrequent oil services in the last ten years.
Aircon and stereo didnt work either so that would need to be factored in if your bidding.
