You know that’s really not a very friendly thing to ask right ?
Do you mean it must have been a nightmare and I should have kept my gob shut? 😁

Ahh bugger. I’d like to change mine but I know one side will be a bastard and the other will be ok as that’s recently been removed.

Any issues getting the old manifolds off?

No I wussed out and got the local garage on the job as it was going in for alignment anyway. Top tip undo the filler plug before you drop the old fluid. Just in case it's seized. Turns out mine came out dead easy.
Yeah I’ve used that rule for years 👍😊

Yep. That's why I did it. 👍
Can you remember what sockets or whatever I’ll need for drain and filler plugs, anything out of the ordinary or a crazy size? Just making sure I’ve got the right tools.

You only need 3 litres but it's cheaper to buy a 5l pack than 3 x1.
Ordered some £30 delivered, looking forward to giving it a go.

Thank you sir 👍

I talked about it in the thread about shifters in the 987 section. For me it really made a big difference. With the treacle that Porsche put it there from new it was tough to get it first and second when cold and not much better when it was hot. I considered putting a new shifter in, adjusting the cables, shimming the shifter block etc. Years ago I had an Alfa 75 with a rear transaxle and that was the same. I put the synthetic in that and it was a lot better. Boxster is great now - as soon as I pulled away I could feel the difference. I used Millers. Why Porsche don't put it in from new I have no idea. Cheapskates.
Cool I’ll look into that.
which Millers, do you have a link please?

Took it for a full hunter. I was pretty sure there wasn't much wrong with it - ran straight - but the toe was out front and back on the passenger side and the rear passenger side camber was out. Anyway got it all ok. Steering feels a bit less numb at dead centre. Came back the twisty, bumpy, slippery way and I gave it some wellington. It seemed to hoover up the bumps better and I was perfectly confident as it was sliding on the exits. At one point I had all 4 wheels sliding together and it felt fine. Mind you I've never driven it hard on slippery roads before.
With that and the synthetic gearbox oil change which is also a good fix I'm happy with it. Except it's now dirty. Tsk....
Gearbox oil worth doing you say? What ya filled it with, manual I presume?

Yes one of the pictures on the listing shows what you can order... I then sent the seller my requirements after placing my order 👍
Cheers. My only issue is the interior is navy including the airbag but one of those pictures does mention leather colour, might message them.

Was looking at that as well on AliExpress as I’d done the same to my previous BMW with great results.
Doesn’t say in the listing but looks like you can specify the spec you wanted?

😂 and others have said it’s one of the best mods they’ve ever done - I’m more on the ‘can’t tell a difference’ side of things.
-
Exactly that.
if I offered a £50-£60 service and then sent you my effort you’d want ya money back 😂. It would work but it won’t be fancy pancy machined.
-
Not much to see there though? How are the ends finished, that’s were all the work is.
-
Yes please post a few pics 😎👍

I’m still waiting to see pictures of the creations being offered on here. It’s all right saying £50-£60 but for what?

I tried to purchase from that seller twice and each time I never received the bar, I was waiting for months, managed to get a refund each time

Hexagon bar here

and the bolts we need are M10’s around 50mm long?

I have an angle grinder, pillar drill and bench grinder so reckon I could cut away the bits I need although it’ll probably look very homemade but it will still do the job.

Yeah was thinking that as well 👍.
I’ll look again
Front wheel vibration- changed tyres, tuning forks, coffin arms, rebalanced 3 times at different garages - still remaining.

Road Force Balance will highlight any wheel and tyre issues and might even solve it, worked for me.
