Haven't been on the forum for a little while, but came on this morning for this specific reason. I'm also considering a set of pole positions for my 986 Boxster S. Couldn't believe my luck seeing this post.
I've found myself doing a few track days recently and the Pole Positions would definitely be an upgrade over my current OEM Wing Backs. One of my questions is that do you feel there is a a little more room in the cockpit with the pole positions. With my Sports seats I could do with one more click back, but there isn't enough room. I think this would seal the deal for me.
Hope that you are enjoying them, they look mega.

They look stunning, did you send them off or just leave your car with them? Could you share the company that did them please?
My local independent close to where I live in Braintree, Essex removed the calipers for me and kindly stored the car while they were away, they were sent to a company in Rochdale called Brake Caliper Refurbs, they changed all of the rubber parts and bleed nipples and painted them in OEM Red with “Porsche” in OEM Type Face.
When the calipers were refitted I had new Brembo discs fitted, along with BFGoodrich braided brake hoses, and Brembo Brake Fluid I’m still bedding everything in but my initial thoughts are the centre peddle feels more positive. Aesthetically the car looks a million dollars.
Should there be any further information you need then do let me know.

A few other pics, one when I was out for a drive locally an spotted a photo opportunity with the famous Gulf local in the background and the other on the Nordschleife last October:

Had my brake calipers refurbished by Brake Caliper Refurbs who did an amazing job, this included new braided hoses and copper lines all fitted back at my local independent. Gave her a good clean thereafter and unfortunately haven't used it since due to the abysmal weather over the past three weeks. Itching for a drying weekend.

Superb, this is my ultimate modification.
Is the seating position much lower with the pole positions fitted and do you feel that your any further back? They look in great condition, how did you come by them?

I have refreshed coffin arms, tuning folks on the rear and tuning folks on the front. Strut brace on the front and home made brace on the rear, alignment also. Combined with the Michelin PS2's all round this has really improved the handling. I can only imagine how good your car in now with the ARB's
Did you find any improvement after fitting you strut brace, is this just on the front?
Tyres make a huge difference, I bet the PS2's transformed the car. Iv'e got PS4 all round on mine which I'm very please with.

I really need to get this done. Can't see it before it goes into storage for the winter though....
I had this done a few months back at Centre Gravity, it was a real game changer. I also incorporated a suspension refresh and Eibach ARB's front and rear, fronts are set on the softer of the two settings and the rears on the harder setting which effectively removes grip from the back and makes it more fun to drive.

Plastic IIRC. Which makes it quite a luxury!
Unfortunately it is plastic, nice touch but as others have said it is a bit of a luxury item and not a requirement.

I got it off of eBay but it is a genuine Porsche part, paid £100 including VAT which is about £30 cheaper than an OPC price. It is a bit of a needless purchase but something I've wanted for a while. The seller was 9 Apart Ltd.

Nick - did you remove the number plate mount on the front? I have a smaller 5 digit plate and want to install on the bumper without the mount.
Did you just use the holes for the player holder screws?
I timed down the original plate holder, my front plate is 229 x 75mm which works perfectly.
Ordered my plate from wwwplatesforcars.co.uk

Gave my 986 a pre Le Mans clean over the weekend lots of Dodo Juice products used. It has taken a while and a lot of spending but this car now drives beautifully. Big praise to Chris at Center Gravity who did an amazing job on the geometry and suspension component refresh, the car is pin sharp with no noises from the suspension at all.
Doesn't look bad for a 17 Year Old Car.

Fitted 7mm aluminium spacers all round today, while the wheels were off I also took the liberty off cleaning the wheels thoroughly before treating them to 2x coats of Poor Boys wheel sealant.
Very happy with the rend result, with the new Eibach roll bars set to firm at the front and soft at the rear and now with the slightly widened track I can finally rear some rotation on the rear end. Very happy.

Looks Superb, they don’t look bad for their age do they?
Recaro Pole Position Seats (and mounting them !)

Superb, I did a similar solo trip in mine down to the SOF a couple of years ago to see my brother who lives in Antibes. On the route down I included the Nurburgring, Spa and the Route Napoleon. I couldn't have enjoyed the trip any more, the car was amazing and didn't miss a beat. Enjoy, I'm very envious.
The full leather Pole Positions are silly money, over £2k each + fitting kits. I can't justify that kind of wedge, the Black Leather / Suede would look cheaper but I cannot deal with the white RECARO logo as you've already mentioned. Please can you confirm where you ordered yours from, did you specify you wanted the logo deleted in place of the small indented logo?
The fact that I can also sell my Wing Back OEM Seats which will bridge the gap makes this a very viable option.
