I get your anger. We’ve an LTN and cameras out the wazoo appeared near me ( see my name). It’s not the mayor that put them in, or gets the fines. It’s Southwark Council. Making millions…

but assuming you’re going to buy something for (say) 750k, the stamp duty alone is going to be 2,200 days of charges. There’s all sorts of reasons for not being in London (space, no longer in the office every day, education, community, crime, clean air…..) but this wouldn’t be top of my list. 

And just went to the vehicle checker on the TfL site and they’ve already updated it for my reg. Cingestion  charge only😀

The reply below is written so as to be unclear but in response to a query last night simply stating the NOx levels as shown on my v5 (0.077) I got…

”based on the information that you have provided we can confirm that your vehicle is subject to the ULEZ and meets the emissions standards. This means you do not have to pay the ULEZ charge to travel in the zone”

I’ve also contact Porsche UK to see if they can give me extra ammo.

Started a conversation with TfL as my 2002 has 0.077 recorded as the NOx on the V5. As I live about 400m inside the expanded zone come October, it’s sort of a deal breaker! Thanks DPG for highlighting your process. Let’s see if 12 months later, TfL are consistent…
