Saw a bloke in a 986 on the dual carriageway but something didn't look right. As I got nearer I saw his roof was up but the clamshell was also up at the highest point! I felt like shouting 'I can fix that for ya mate' as I overtook him. ?

Edited to add I did feel sorry for him?

For no good reason, this is something that concerns me after seeing mention of similar somewhere. As mine's cracking on a bit I'm worried my roof/clamshell may stick.

Is there a quick fix to get yourself mobile, or is it a proper knowledge, spanner and time job?

Talking about painful, I asked a dent removal guy how much he charges (without seeing the car) and he said £220! ?

Try elsewhere!! I asked a 'named brand' dent removal company how much to sort a small dent, they were around £200 as well. So I spoke to the bodyshop who eventually painted my bumper and the chap they use for minor dents did it for £50, only took him 15 mins and the job was perfect. I'd ask at your nearest indy who they use for dents :)

Agreed. I use a local guy; DentPusher. Nice chap and excellent workmanship at a reasonable price.

Not having a good day, picked up an extra dent in the bootlid courtesey of my di****** brother and a tennis ball. FUMING :vmad::vmad:

So long as it's just a dent and paint is okay should be cheap and easy fix. Probably too far for you but I've used DentPusher in the past with superb results. He comes to me at work - depending on damage normally £40-50 per dent. Very nice bloke too, Steve. You should be able to find someone as good locally.

Send a copy of the invoice to your brother as a nice little keepsake.
