@Dodgster1, would you care to name the outfit in question?

I hope the battery will be fine for a while.
Mine is normally on trickle charge in the garage but a short time after I bought it, I forgot to hook it back up and it was left for a week. After that, nothing, and I couldn't bring it back to life. Now I always remember to connect it up!
If you do need to replace the battery, the best way to get it out without inducing a hernia is to stand in the frunk on some wood - a tip I picked up on this forum!

When I replaced the belt on mine a couple of years ago, the one I took off was in good nick so I keep it in the car as a spare. It's a very simple job to replace

Went for MOT and failed 🙁. Two small things, one fixed before I left which was side repeaters in de-ambered lights had lost their orangeness, solved before paperwork was done as there was a motor factor next door (this can be a contentious fail but to be fair the orange coating had pretty much fully flaked off the old bulbs), and corrosion on brake line around clip under passenger (left) seat. Tester wouldn't let me pop it out of clip whilst in his bay in case the pipe failed but now just looks like some minor surface corrosion. He's said as long as it is rust free when he sees it again within the next 10 days he'll OK it and issue certificate. Also advisory on minor cracking in tread on fronts which are only on 5.5mm but are 5 years old... PO only did 7000 miles in 9 years and had to replace rears for same reason last MOT so at least the really expensive ones don't need doing again yet...
Also 4 stalk column switch assembly arrived for me to start on cruise retro fit. Any takers for 3 stalk OBC switch assembly?
I have a broken indicator on my 4 stalk but I think I can retro fit my CC onto a 3 stalk. How much were you thinking of?

Fitted new anti roll bar bushes and along the way replaced the under-tray clips which were corroded or missing.
Also replaced missing plastic clips on the battery cover. By mistake I overordered from design911 and have a couple spare if anyone wants them. Just PM me and I will put them in the post.

I was changing the pads and discs but of course on an 18 year old car most of the bolts are a struggle to remove. I already used a thread repair kit for a sheared bolt that holds the flexible hose bracket but fortunately all the caliper bolts came out OK.
Just stuck on the NS with one of the poxy M6 screws that hold the disk in place. Will need to drill the blasted thing out but ran out of time to complete. So close!

Took the car for its MOT today, nearly 18 years old. Passed fine with the same advisories as last year. Must get them sorted out for the next one ?

Can these just be wired in in place of a regular fluorescent tube? Was thinking about sticking a couple of these in my kitchen and garage.
Pretty much. The 600mm square means they mount between standard joist gaps. In my garage they are offset from the centre of the door where the original light fitting sits.

They don't appear as bright in the picture as the camera is compensating for the brightness.

What lights did you go for? I am looking for some extra lighting to add to my garage too
I chose the 600 x 600 panels from Toolstation. They are supposed to last an average 35k hours which is nearly 4 years continuous.
At 2800lm they are equivalent to about 180W of incandescent. I have two so far and will put in two more on the other side of the garage. That should be enough!

Nothing to the box as such but installed some LED light panels in the garage so I can see what the hell I'm doing in there. The modern ones give out a huge amount of light and the garage is transformed with them on. Thinking about how to put some in the floor so I can see what I'm doing under the car ?

@mk1max Actually I had to tidy the garage to get the box in. You should see the other half of it - and that was after 3 trips to the recycling centre ?
What I really need is a shed to put the junk in but Sussexlass (or more accurately Yorkshirelass) has vetoed the idea.

Just put in my new honeycomb wind deflectors I bought from @Kitt.
Secured with tie wraps.
The picture is taken in the garage - I don't want to get into trouble with the driveway weed police!
986 aging so well.

Damn, I went ahead and fixed mine. Perhaps if I had waited longer, it would have fixed itself!
