Replaced brake pads all round. Most of the time was spent hammering the seized pins out of the caliper. Is there anything on a Porsche that doesn't require giant hammers to remove?

Waiting for it to return from some work being done at Cotswold. Ordered a few things to make it a happy little Boxster: new key heads to replace the perished rubber buttons, new 997 shifter, new frunk struts, and a new fuel filler cap.

Got a new hood fitted with a glass window at BAS in Cwmbran. Ordered more parts for the rear axle overhaul (bearings, brake discs, and pads).

Jacked up the front of my car, removed the front tuning forks before realizing that I ordered the wrong replacements (997 rather than 996 part number). Tried to remove the ARB links but endup up with a lot of swearing and two very seized bolts.
I cut off the ends and stuck a rattle gun on there, but nothing is moving. Left both sides soaking in WD40 while I charge up my gun.
Not the most productive day I have ever had
A fully charged battery did the trick. ARB links were no match for my beast of an impact gun. Took advantage of the break to tidy up my new (to me) shocks with some hammerite.
Next problem was finding the right spanners to loosen the coffin arm bush. I have a 19mm spanner, and a 17mm spanner, but I do not own an 18mm spanner. No room for a socket on that side so it will have to wait until I can get to Halfords.
New CTE arms (the right ones this time) have been ordered with the 20% CP4Less discount code. Hopefully I will be back on the road soon.

Fitted and wired up cruise and OBC. Will get them coded at Cotswold in the next few weeks.

Arranged to buy the cheapest set of wheels in the country. £125 delivered for a decent looking set of S II wheels with N rated tyres on them. The only problem is they are white, so I will be repainting them with rattle cans and a deck of cards shortly after they arrive.

I have console delete and originally I fitted a sat nav mount on the plastic trim that covers the gap in front of the gear lever, however I have now moved it to underneath the dash so the sat nav hangs down rather than stands up. This has moved it further back and out of casual site and means I could wire it in direct if I was inclined, it isn't quite as easy to see as a dash or screen mounted system but I can live with that as a trade for being more discreet.
Yep, I managed to screw a brodit mounting bracket for my TomTom directly to the carpeted plate of the console delete. Nice and hidden, easy to glance at if needed, and no problems with GPS reception even tucked away like that. I will pick up a hardwire kit at some point and make a proper job of it.

This isn't my first set - I rate the RC5+ very highly. They were originally recommended on this forum by one or two folks and that was reinforced by the guys who look after my car (01/02 986S).
As road pads they're not as noisy as Pagid Blue albeit they do squeal occasionally.
Sounds like just what I need, thanks!
I fitted a console delete to mine today, it improved the interior no end. Planning on fitting a sat nav mount to it so I have a nice out of the way place for a tom tom.

Purchased a full set of CL RC5+ pads to be fitted ahead of a trip and trackday to Spa..... ?️
Please come back with a review once they are bedded in. I am considering a set for road and track duties

Started the process of cleaning it:
- Polished up the tailpipe with NXT metal polish
- Cleaned and fed the leather with gliptone liquid leather stuff.
- Wiped the interior down with some interior shampoo.
- Treated all the exterior plastic to chemical boys tyre and trim gel. -
Put down a deposit on it! Picking it up tomorrow evening
Ordered the console delete kit from my local OPC so I will have a little more knee room, as well as some of the bits and bobs I need to retrofit cruise and computer.
What have you done to your 981 today?

I ordered the bits required to fit a third radiator. It is essential for my 400hp upgrade plans
