Unfortunately the part is expensive and no way around it, may wait a while as it’s not happening frequently at present.

Also could be a faulty MAF.

Got quoted £300 at my indie so about what has been said above. Is this a common issue?

I opened mine up and cleaned the tracks on the circuit board up. 

Is it easy to open and clean?

Hi guys,

Having an intermittent problem with my 987.1, sometimes the ignition switch fails to turn on the electrics when rotated and I have to do it a few times. No issue with key getting stuck or unlocking the steering. Is it a cheap fix at an indie to change the ignition switch which I assume is the issue?

Sailed through the MOT with no advisories today 😃

Shiny new spare key from the local Porsche OPC. Unfortunately no free coffee as showroom is closed. Service was top notch though as expected. 

Great write up and looks a great bit of kit.
