Any recommendations on companies that can re-trim the black plastic/silver pdk gait cover on my 987.2 ( not centre console ) where the black ( and silver outer part ) are peeling/perished?

Would be cheaper to replace with oem part?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

PS tried to refurb. myself with spray plastic wrap in can but not happy with result!

liking the upgraded rear lights, are these in your opinion an improvement on oem?

I know this has been posted many times previously, but would like any thoughts on replacing my cloudy rear lights( have tried to polish them up with various kits and they are worse than ever ).

I bought my 987.2 with 90k on the clock. No major issues or bills yet after 4 years of happy motoring.

Agree with Skoosh1970 get a sprint booster fitted

Try a sprint booster first. Cheap, transforms driving experience. Could not go back!

I think a trip to my friendly independent ( Octane garage, Crowborough ) is in order.

My 987.2 S pdk has recently started to stall when slowing down. No problems otherwise, starts first time.

Any thoughts appreciated

My 2009 987.2 has same problem.

Thought it might be surface scratches and tried various headlight reviving products, only for it to reappear :0

Anyone recommend aftermarket newer style replacements? Gonna have to bite the bullet..

I have realised that you have to re-check oil level after topping up for the warning message to go

Please forgive any ignorance....check oil level light has come on in my 987.2

Have topped up but still on. 

Do I need to reset?

Update. Could not reply until now as been disconnected from broadband since the storm

Got car back. Invoice £900!

Tensioner bolt, tensioner lever and belt parts cost:£320 approx.

Rest was labour 4.5 hours (mainly due to drill out broken bolt and re-thread ).

Oh well, I guess I got the car back fixed.

First major cost other than standard servicing in 3 years. Car done 112K miles and going strong

It was literally round the corner!

Getting the car back this week, will report back on the damage!

First issue with my 987.2 3.4

Battery light came on then electrics went down whilst driving.

Pulled over and called RAC. They removed belt and I limped to local garage.

After inspection I was told that the pretensioner bolt was the problem and it needed drilling out.

They are currently doing this ( luckily the garage have worked on Porches and seem to know what they are doing ! )

Have had the car regularly serviced by good Indie.

Any thoughts, comments or guestimates at likely cost  greatly appreciated.

Noticed my heater in my 987.2 S not giving out much heat at all. Blowing fine just not hot air!

Luckily heated seats working fine.

Just rang my local indie ( Octane Garage Crowborough ) but on hols until mid Sept.

Looking for some advice please. Noticed loud hiss from drivers side soon after starting up and driving down

a farm track. Lasted about 20 seconds. Assumed it was a puncture, so drove back home down lane

 Tyres are fine, no warning lights on dash. Is this likely an AOS failing? Is it safe to drive to my local indie?

Car is 987.2S overdue service !!
