Admit it mate, you're doing exactly the same as me, and fitting them purely because they look awesome and not for any "practical" reasons... ☺️😂
Jeez you've seen right through me, I am that shallow. 😁

I'm heading home from work next week so I've bought a couple of presents for mine. So once I arrive I shall be updating the SatNav maps thanks to the positive reports in an earlier thread on here about the satnavishop upgrade. I shall also be fitting some Zunsport grills in the interest of keeping my newish condensers nice and functional. I shall then be hoping the weather gods smile for a jaunt around Nth Yorkshire.

Oh bugger, I didn't notice that bit. Good job I didn't put the order in on the 987 switch. Thanks for the eagle eyed observation. Oh well it looks like I shall just have to trouser up and get it fitted when the car goes in to OPC in Hull for a service at the end of the month. Thanks for the help guys much appreciated.

Excellent, Thanks for that. I shall spend the balance on some V power in that case.

The switch to release the front boot from beside the drivers seat has given up the ghost on my car. The boot opens fine from the key so I'm after a replacement switch. But here's the thing if I do a search on Ebay I have a choice of a switch noted as being for a 987 for £14-15 and one for a 981 for the thick end of £70. As far as I can see from the pictures they look identical and the pin out is the same so is there something I'm missing here? If anyone knows the answer I'd be glad to hear from you.

Got the missus to take the car to have some nice new boots fitted. Gone for Goodyear F1 asymmetric hoping they will be both better all round and in particular quieter than the current P0's. Now I just need to get released from quarantine prison on Friday for everything to start coming together. Then we head off up to Scotland on Sunday for a partial NC500 holiday.

Anti-corona virus measures?
I've stopped drinking that stuff as a precaution. Only Black Sheep or Guinness for the foreseeable.

I was finally able to dig the Boxster out of the garage for a small run yesterday. First call was to the local hand wash and then of course as I was out I just had to make sure that all was well with a quick thrap up the bypass and away past Cadwell. Hurrah it still works and makes me smile, the more I play with the PDK the more pleased I am with it as a choice. If the weather gods smile the top may even get lowered before the end of the week.

Not actually today but a couple of days ago the car fired up first twitch of the key after sitting for the last 8 weeks in the garage and then proceeded to head a couple of hours up the road to Nottingham and collect my son for Xmas in a very happy manner. Apart from a Macan I saw no other porkers all day.

Yeah Gods man you changed the battery bolt? That your warrantee screwed then!
And to EXY, umm thank you for your kind offer I shall give it some consideration.

Today I have done exactly nothing to my 981. Due mostly to it being in my garage in England and me being at work in Nigeria. I have thought about it and the prospect of a dry winters day when I get home for the Xmas hols.
What have you done to your 981 today?

Not so much what I've done as what I've had done. Sent the old girl off to have the circles that the nice Bulgarian chaps at the car wash had installed for me removed. The replaced with some ceramic coating. I'm rather pleased with the results.
