I really thought the 718 4.0l GTS would be something really special when it was first announced, a GTS with a real unique selling point and its own engine. I would still have one but unfortunately I don't think the character and drama you get from the 3.4l has been achieved.
Probably one of the reasons I want to keep mine.
i remember the excitment I had when I heard about a 4.0 GTS coming out but it ended up as being a nothing burger for me. real big shame

PSE failed
in 981

All it does is make a noise - when it works - with no performance gains whatsoever. Surely those who desire a loud growl before the howl would be better off biting the bullet and fitting a decent performance exhaust. Or am I missing something ...?
Sorry but totally disagree. I have painfully missed my PSE. It still sounds nice but I have stopped grinning. The noise is so incredibly important when it comes to driving pleasure and the 981 S is one of the most brilliant sounding cars out there. For me only a Ferrari 458 beats it.
OP I had the same issue - Car is used at least every other day as its my daily and both my sides seized. OPC has ordered parts to be fitted on Thursday under warranty. Again similar to you 2015 year and around 17k on the clock.

Spyder v GTS

I know the 718 in general will be newer and is better to drive but the sense of occasion with the 981 GTS is just incredible for me. I had a Boxster S for 2 years and loved it. I will be on the look out for a BGTS 981 now.
