Thanks to few posts and few helpful comments I did manage finally change the ignition switch and steering lock for new one even only ignition switch fail. 

Don't know how people manage to do it as I have small hand and still was struggling with space... 

Btw it's nice to see that most parts are shared with 996

I faced the same quandary (mines a 2001 car). The horizontals seemed body colour (ish) and the verticals some faded grey finish. In the end I painted the whole lot in body colour

Manage refresh some plastic trim as it was looking old and wasn't appealing to eye.

Next thing to do fabric on roof which need be redone as it's loosing colour.
