I did this successfully with replacement ebay keys.

Very straightforward, just simply swap the parts over.

When I purchased my 987.2 I had Nick Giles carry out a details Vehicle Inspection & Report and I got his details from this site so has years of experience.

He is an Independent Vehicle Inspector who travels the country sourcing and inspecting cars for clients.

I use a CTEK through the cigarette lighter when stored over winter.
It sits in the passenger footwell with the cable going over the sill and the door closes and locks perfectly.
I park close to the wall and plug in the CTEK in an outdoor waterproof socket so the cable doesn't touch the ground between wall and car.
Another vote for CTEK.

I have aircon but never use it.
My 987 is my weekend car and if the weather is good the roof is down so never really use it.

I wouldn't accept it and it will always play on your mind every time you see it (just like the skirting board).
You paid for a new item to be delivered and that is what you should receive. Don't let the company fob you off that it was the delivery companies fault as it is the company you have purchased off and it is them who should ensure safe delivery no matter who they use.
Contact the company and send them the video, see what their response is and how they deal with it, this may sway your decision. 

Has anyone ever used these new online car buying services? (Car WOW and Motorway I think)? According to the ad you upload the cars details etc and then car dealers bid each other and you accept a higher price, or maybe that's the job of the marketing gods and got my interest!! Not tried this myself.

Just advice as I lost out. If you get the Halfords voucher through Confused it has a use by date (30 days I think). 

I fitted the 'Rennline ExactFit Magnetic Phone Mount' to mine and I am impressed with the way it fits and looks. It is more expensive than others available but i like the way it is discreet and you can run the USB charging cable hidden between the pass seat and the drive tunnel. As it is a magnetic mount you can view either portrait or landscape.

There is slight vibration when on bumped 'B' roads but nothing too off putting.
