Yes it drops fine when holding handle open but as soon as I let go of the handle the window goes back up, I’ve only noticed this with the outside handle, pretty sure it’s the same with the inside handle.

When I open the drivers door the window drops then goes back up before I can close the door, only just started to do this??

When I try to open the driver door from the inside, there is nothing there. The window doesn’t drop and there is no resistance on the handle. I can open the door from the outside, any ideas🤔🤔

Not checked the switch, but will be doing👍

That’s what I was hoping for but they are after market led units🤔🤔

I’m looking at having an auto electrician look at it to see if it’s the units or wiring/switch/fuse etc🤔🤔

They were replaced with full units🤔🤔

My Boxster has failed its mot because the front side light are not working. When I bought the car it had upgraded front led fog/side lights. The fog setting works fine but the normal side lights are not working on either side. I’ve been told the side light bulbs might not be replaceable which will be a real pain in the backside. With both sides going could there be another reason??

I was going to do an oil change but when I tried to put 8mm hex into the plug, it was a bit mashed and wouldn’t go in. I was thinking of trying to use a screw/stud extractor to get the plug out. Any advice how to get it out👍

This has been happening sporadically over the last few weeks but when I turn my stereo on, sometimes there is no display, sound etc, I’ve tried turning car off, locking/unlocking but usually this doesn’t do anything. I can then come back to it later and it comes on as normal.

it is a cdr24 Bose model

I’m going to be doing the oil change for the first time as usually get it done at the local Indy. My Boxster is an 06 plate with 124,000 miles on the clock. Would you stick with Mobil 1 0w40, or 5w40 because of the mileage?? Also is there anything else to be aware of when doing this oil change etc👍👍

I have 987.1 with Bose stereo system. I am wanting to upgrade the head unit so I have apple carplay etc, also better sound. My thoughts are: do I spend £310 on the optical Bose adapter so the new head unit is compatible with the amp and speaker wires etc or possibly get rid of the bose amp, put a new amp in🤔🤔

Question is what else would be involved, re wire, new speakers. I’m just trying to get advice on the best bang for your buck basically. Ultimately the main driving force is to have a modern head unit installed🤔🤔

Update!!

Air bag light now off, watched the YouTube video about how to use the Icarsoft reader correctly and it did what it says on the tin🙄🙄🙄

if you are in strklng distance of me I can run a scan with a Porsche PIWIS unit and assuming there’s nothing actually reporting wrong then  can clear the light.

Hi, I’m near Maidstone in Kent, where abouts are you?

I had to jump the car after a flat battery, ever since I’ve had the air bag warning light on, this has been two weeks now, so I’ve bought an Icarsoft porv1.0, plugged it in and it can’t find any fault codes etc, any other ideas appreciated 🤔🤔  

Anybody selling either  Icarsoft porv1.0 or Icarsoft porv2.0 code reader?

My rear tyres are down to 3mm, they are 9000 miles old Goodyear Eagle F1 265/35/19, what are your thoughts on how quickly they have worn etc as these were my first set of tyres I’ve put on the Boxster (I don’t drive like a madman but spirited yes👍) What would be your recommendations for my next set  of tyre’s  for grip and durability etc??
