I’ve been following this with interest. I’ve had my 2014 981 from new and the maps have never been updated which has never been a problem until recently trying to find my way around Gloucester City! I now want to update my system.

The information screen shows PCM 3.1 V4.63 and the history screen reports “No version history available”.  I assume V4.63 is the 2014 version and the history confirms no updates. So, I’m woefully behind the 2022 version.
 

I’ve emailed SatNaviShop with my info and hopefully will receive confirmation their updates will work for me,

Ooh, WBAC has just told me mine has increased in value to £32,000! At this rate it’ll soon be worth more than I paid for it😂

I’m not sure about “all new cars since 2012 had to have TPMS fitted”. I have the 981 Boxster Porsche sales booklet and price list for MY 2014 981 and it shows the TPM was an option for both basic and S Boxsters. It was order number 482 and cost £421. I didn’t fit it to mine.

Quick question though - my car is Lapis Blue 2001 Boxster S.  The original roof is black but I see Carhood offer colours.  Has anybody got an opinion on what would look best on the lapis blue?

My 2006 Lapis Blue 987 had a Blue hood which from memory was called Metropole Blue. I specced that from new as in IMO looked it better than the black and was always happy with the decision.
