First time owner of a Porsche Boxster and pleased as punch with it! It’s a 2005 987 in metallic seal grey and in stunning condition for its age with just 52000 miles on the clock and lots of extras.

Must give a big shout out to Paul French Specialist Cars. Paul could not have been more helpful and his knowledge about all things Porsche is unbelievable. A top dealer who I would thoroughly recommend.

Good Morning.

Back on the search for a 987 after a pause due to work and have a question.

Notice with some dealers that the MOT expires some time ago, even way back in Sep 2020.

Is there anything to be wary of if say the car has been sorn for that time or maybe the dealer has struggled to sell the car for a long time.

Why would a dealer not do an MOT?

Interested in views.

What's everyone's view on whether to buy a 987 Gen1 2.7 from a dealer v a private seller?

I am currently looking first time and can see the pros and cons of both but what's everyone's experience?

I can see about a £2K difference in costs so is it justified?
